All it takes is playing in the game to be a career long pro bowl type player.

In other words, had there not been an injury and Jenkins called to fill in, he would not be today a pro bowl caliber CB. But there was an injury, so he is. All the time. Every year. To infinity.

Moron. Party of on...err two.

Moron, party of you. Pro bowl caliber means absolutely nothing. Pro Bowl is a popularity contest, not a measure of talent or skill.

lol

Me - McDaniels didn't have a pro bowl caliber QB.

You - Yes he did. He traded him.

Me - Cutler is not pro bowl quality.

You - Yes he is. He played in a Pro Bowl.

Me - One pro bowl invite does not define a player's career.

You - Pro bowls mean nothing. It's a popularity contest.

lol

Hey, do this one....

You are dumb. I proved myself right on the first argument so you change the topic, I prove myself right again on the second topic and you try to use it against my first argument. Let me spell it all out for you in one post to make it all clear for you.

You said McDaniels didn't have a Pro Bowl caliber QB when he actually did. Cutler played in the 2009 Pro Bowl and was later traded away in the 2009 off season. He might make it again this season but it will be tough with Vick, Brees, Rodgers and Ryan out there.

After that you tried to say Cutler wasn't Pro Bowl caliber because he only went once. I refuted with the fact that the Pro Bowl is a fashion show, not a judge of talent. Vince Young and David Garrard were in the Pro Bowl last year and seriously, Gurode has made four straight Pro Bowl games. If you wanted to refute the quality of McDaniels' QB you picked the wrong measuring stick.

You tried to offer his pro bowl as proof he's that good. Then a few posts later told me pro bowls mean nothing since they're just popularity contests.

I mean, I don't mind a good debate, but you have to give me something to work with.

Which is it? Do Pro Bowls matter or not?

In order for your dumb ass to be right, Jay Cutler has to be one of the top QB's in football.

And that is laughably incorrect. He had one foot out the door in Chicago before he rebounded to being solid this year.

He's a decent QB. Sometimes.

Everyone (except you, I guess) thought Cutler was going to be one of the top QBs in football. he never had one foot out the door in Chicago, he never even came close to losing his starting job in Chicago. Everyone (except you, I guess) thought McDaniels was dumb for the way he handled the QB situation. He traded a pro bowler for Kyle Orton.

In order for me to be right Cutler only needs to be as good as Romo and so far I'm not seeing much of a difference in the two.

Yeah, I'm the only one who didn't think Cutler was a top QB. Just me.

As he was throwing 47 picks last year, I was out on an island thinking...."hey, maybe this guy isn't a franchise QB."

The fact that he got traded out of Denver is proof that they didn't think he was all that either. And I've seen nothing in Chicago to convince me any differently.

He's got talent. But I wouldn't rank him in the top 12 of QBs. Maybe not even top 15.

Then you are a moron. He had a horrible season last year and I am not going to contest that, but the season he was traded everything believed he would be a stud. Denver didn't want to trade him but they forced it upon themselves because McDaniels was going after Cassel. He had a Pro Bowl season the year he was traded. Josh McDaniels had a Pro Bowl QB and traded him away.

I'd bet that most on this board and the boards I was on at the time would disagree with you. Most people saw Cutler for what he was. A notch below a franchise QB.On his best day. Then he got even worse in Chicago. He became a running joke.

He's not in the top 12 of NFL QBs. Which means he's not even close to pro bowl caliber.

What does pro bowl caliber even mean? Scrubs like Young and Garrard make the pro bowl. Using that as a measuring stick is moronic.

Then use franchise, Sally.

Whatever you want to call it, Cutler isn't it.

So you think Romo is a franchise QB and Cutler is not? What has Romo done beyond Cutler to deserve that title?

Not really.

But I didn't call him pro bowl quality, someone else did.

Do I think he's better than Cutler? Yeah. I do.

Won his team two division titles. Romo IS better than Cutler. It's foolish to think otherwise. But then again, you think Vick is TWICE the QB that Romo is, so... your judgement on QBs is lacking in credibility. Cutler threw for over 4,000 yards in a season once in his career, and it took him throwing the ball over 600 times to do it. He had Brandon Marshall---at that time one of the best WRs in the league, and yet he still couldn't dominate one of the weakest divisions. This will be his first time making the playoffs.

You think Romo is inconsistant... LOL.

I was asking for his opinion, not implying my own, so go you. Calling Vick twice the QB as Romo was gross exaggeration used to make a point that you obviously missed.

He played for a crap team in a division that was dominated by the Chargers. Romo would've had similar success on that team.

You think Romo is inconsistent... LOL.

In 2009 he had 10 games above 100 QBR and 8 games below 90, 5 of those below 80. I guess that is being consistent to you?

The point is that Vick is not twice, one and one-half, nor one times better than Romo. Not even equyal to Romo.

LOL!!! Romo played and had success what was at the time the toughest division in the league. Before Romo took over from Bledsoe, the team was crap.

So he had 13 games with a QB rating of over 80? Yeah. He ended each of his five seasons with a QB rating of over 90. And all he did and continues to do is set records for Cowboys' QBs. And if you think Romo is inconsistant, then what the fuck you think Cutler is?

Vick has won more playoff games and won the division this year. He will probably repeat next year as well. He is better than Romo.

Yay, Romo is better than Bledsoe. We knew that already, moron.

If you look at the average it looks good, inconsistent means he has highs and lows instead of being steady. If he was always at a mid-90s QBR that would be great, but he has his share of poor games. And QBs all over the league are setting records thanks to the new rules.

And if you think Romo is inconsistant, then what the fuck you think Cutler is?

When did I call Cutler a pillar of consistency? Can you show me anything other than me calling Cutler a Pro Bowl QB? You are a fucking idiot.
