Former Cowboy RB Tashard Choice (currently on Texas Longhorn staff) will be getting an interview as RB coach for us.

Very well regarded in college ranks right now.

Nothing about any of these coaching hires gives me any reason to be excited about this team moving forward.

Clearly my give a fuck that broke after the Green Bay playoff loss is still broken!

Same shit, different faces, same results to be expected. Rinse and repeat for another three decades!

I like some of these new assistants. The OC is a sensational OL coach and run scheme developer. The Jets DL coach we hired is one of the best in the league and had multiple offers. I like Eberflus as DC, not a sexy hire but he is a solid DC with a proven track record.

^^^ If the name sounds familiar, his father was a star RB for Barry Switzer at OU and he was a 1st rd pick of the Miami Dolphins.

He was killed in a car accident in 1984

We hired the only HC that nobody else interviewed or even wanted.

Jerry is gonna Jerry. Outsmarting the rest of the league like he’s been doing for the past 3 decades!
We shall see how it plays out. Odds are it will be another Jerry and Spawn failure, but I do like the staff he's putting together and that publicly he is talking about an offense that will de-emphasize Prescott.

“If” he focuses on running the ball and we draft a stud RB, we might stand a chance.

Otherwise it’s the same ole BS.
Agree without a solid run game there’s no way Cowboys can compete with a tier two QB counting 90 million against the cap

just last year mccarthy said the cowboys would commit to the run game and look how that turned out

and now we are supposed to expect a journeyman coordinator to change the settings on the V chip and get more horsepower out of this offense

Schottenheimer did hire an OC who was a tremendous OL coach and run game developer didn't he.

McCarthy said a lot of stuff, never delivered on any of it. He also had a long track record as HC in GB where he didnt really run the ball much, and wasnt overly effective at it when they did. They ranked in the top-10 in rush yards one time while he was in GB and never ranked in the top-10 in rush attempts. Most years they ranked in the bottom half of the league in both and many years in the 20's.
