The Minnesota Vikings signed John Carlson before last season. After catching 8 passes with the team last season, they restructured his deal to generate more cap space for themselves. They also restructured Kevin Williams and had Jared Allen declare he'd leave if they asked him to restructure.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers restructured the contracts of Vincent Jackson and Carl Nicks one season after signing them to get under the cap and have room to sign free agents this last offseason.

After their recent spending sprees, the Rams didn't have enough money to sign their draft picks, so they restructured Chris Long this season.

The Packers had to restructure AJ Hawk and 30 year old ex-con Johnny Jolly to get under the cap and re-sign some of their players, and lost Greg Jennings anyway.

The Saints restructured the contracts of Colston, Jahri Evans, Grubbs, David Hawthorne and Curtis Logan to get their cap situation under control.

The Broncos restructured Manning and Ty Warren, and wanted to restructure Dumervil before that whole fiasco.

The Lions have restructured Staffords contract the past few years, and this season restructured Suh, Johnson, Nate Burleson and Cominic Raiola, and lost Cliff Avril to free agency.

Please, please, please, tell me more about how other teams don't operate this way.

I'm embarrassed for you right now. I just undressed you, bad, and that's all you've got?

I get it.... its a slow time of year and you want to force a long-winded discussion to pass the time.

Seriously... everything was covered in the above thread. Including why this isn't a good thing, and the names of players we had an interest in but couldn't sign because of the cap.

But this is a waste of time. If you think we manage the cap well, good for you. I don't. Most fans don't.

And most teams don't operate this way, to the extent that we do. Certainly not the well managed teams.

Keep trolling.

I never claimed we manage the cap "well", because that is entirely subjective. We get under the cap, we have money to re-sign our own players, and aren't impotent in free agency.

We do it in our own way. A way that, as I've just shown, tons of other teams use as well. It's right there in black and white, how embarrassingly wrong you are. I don't need to force that, and you've got no rebuttal to it as you've just shown.

And as I have said time and time again, it has all been covered in the above thread (and a few others recently if you use the search feature). I'm not so bored that I feel like having the exact same discussion over again.

Also the swan is found on both sides of the Equator across the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The northern swan is generally white in colour with an orange beak and the southern swan tends to be a mixture of white and black in colour with red, orange or black beaks.

Not reading it again. If it's in there c&p to this thread how exactly you proved that other teams don't do this exact same fucking thing.

You can't, because you're wrong. And you were loud-wrong about it, over and over again, to the point where I had to undress the shit out of you in this thread.

Over past 3 years, no one has restructured more contracts than Steelers

If we managed the cap well instead of handing out ridiculous extensions to aging players like Newman and Ratliff and scrubs like Free and Scandrick we wouldn't be doing this every year.

Every year we're at least $20 million over the cap because Stephen and his dad are morons.

Never said no one else restructures.

Said no one else restructures to the extent that we do, while getting so little in return.

We routinely hand out bad contracts to players who don't deserve them, and are forced to do mass restructures year after year just to stay afloat.

Use the search feature.

Swans have many adaptations in order to successfully survive life on the water such as their streamline body shape, long neck and webbed feet. The wings of the swan are also very strong meaning that the swan is one of the few heavy birds that is able to fly, even if it is only a short distance.

Every team does this.

What you need to do is explain how this has put us at a competitive disadvantage in the offseason. Every team does this. This year, more teams did it because the salary cap did not increase at the same rate it has in the past. We and the Redskins were at an even bigger disadvantage because of our cap penalties.

But again, so far it has never stopped us from being active in free agency, re-signing our own players, or having to cut someone who is performing at an appropriate level.

You need to explain specifically, with ACTUAL examples. Right now your argument is that you don't like the way we do it (I don't think anyone does), so you bitch and whine like a little girl any time a cap topic comes up. Probably because you don't understand how any of this actually works. But what you can't do is list ANY example where this has had an actual impact on our ability to participate in the offseason. Did we lose our #1 receiver this season like Green Bay did? A good pass rushing DE like the Lions and Broncos did?

No. We can do whatever we want, whenever we want, with creative accounting. Just like any number of other teams in the league.

Sit down and shut up. You've been served.

Please re-read the other threads. Search function is there for a reason.

What you need to do is explain how this has put us at a competitive disadvantage in the offseason

We started the off season 20 mil over the cap. We 22-24 the past three years with no playoff appearances. We entered the off season with glaring holes at RT, OG, C, DE, DT, S, & RB. We had only 6 draft picks.

We didn't sign anyone. We couldn't sign anyone. Stephen Jones has said our lack of activity this off season is because where we are in relation to the cap.

What the fuck world are you living in?

Free agency was weak this season. We made our big play the year before, when we went after and got top guys despite all of your protests that we were in cap hell and couldn't. This year we made smaller, solid signings (again despite your protests) and were able to float another year of Spencer franchise to avoid giving him a long-term deal that we're obviously nervous about. Some of the players you guys want us to sign STILL don't have jobs, and we've STILL got 10 mil to play with.

You're entitled to your own, stupid, uninformed opinion. Not your own facts. Time to stop your lying and just admit how wrong you are.

Do you think your inability to be original is funny, or does the fact that your best trolling tactic is the equivalent of a four year old repeating everything you say just reveal how hopelessly lost you are whenever you try to argue with me?
