..under the horrible premise that Garrett is staying.

I think they should can Bill Callahan and Wade Wilson.

New OL coach Pat Hill (former Fresno State HC, Falcons just let him go) or Bruce Matthews.
Bring in Norv Turner to run the offense.
Bring in Jeff Tedford as QB Coach.

If that moron Garrett can't improve his game management skills with Norv Turner, Pat Hill, and Jeff Tedford assisting him then he is truly hopeless.

Everyone on defense goes. If Marinelli wants to join Lovie Smith, no problem. Otherwise, he's the only one who deserves to stay.

I want a fiery DC here. Let Garrett be an emotionless robot all he wants, I want a DC who is going to get in these guys asses.

Give me Ken Norton Jr (Seahawks LB) or Pat Narduzzi (Michigan State DC). If he doesn't get a HC job, I wouldn't hate a return of Mike Zimmer.

I can live with that staff, but I don't think Norv will come here. I think he holds a grudge with Jerry after the HC snub

No salary cap in coaching.

If Jones wants to talk about he'll do whatever it takes us for us to win, this is where his incredible wealth and the Cowboys revenue comes into play.

Tedford is already attached to Lovie Smith's hip.

And do any of you chuckleheads really think Wade Wilson gets canned?

That is hilarious.

Here is the deal people...just think of the coaches returning that would make you the most nauseous and you will have your 2014 staff.

He is an incredible cheapskate where it comes to coaches.

There is a reason why every coach has to inherit staff members. I don't think any coach he has hired since Johnson had a chance to flush everyone out.

No No No to Turner! You have to be kidding me. So on 3rd down and 1 from your own 11 yard line when your RB is getting 17 ypc, you are going to throw a sideline pattern into coverage because the strong safety creeps up to stop the 17 yard running gain? You realize in that last Packer game, Green Bay dictated the Dallas offense from the 3rd quarter on, with merely the position of their defense. They gambled that Dallas would stop running the ball and Dallas, similar to the 41-7 loss that got Wade fired, did exactly what the game tape said they would do.

Haven't we had enough of this ridiculous offense that Norv Turner taught Jason Garrett???????.

Norv, like any good football coach, has evolved.

Garrett is still using the Norv Turner offense of the mid 90's.

Also, the problem with Garrett is the game appears too big for him. He needs an experienced assistant with a stronger personality that Callahan.

But how do you explain Norv Turner's last two years in SD? How do you explain Mike Tice, Cam Cameron, Norv Turner fired last year and Jason Garrett on the hot seat, all for not running the ball enough, mismanaging their games, and for not keeping their talented QBs upright and interception free? They all ran the same system.

I'm not a fan of Norv Turner as a HC. I do think he's a solid playcaller.

Garrett doesn't even know when to call timeouts and he was a NFL QB and has been a HC for 3 1/2 years. Jones is infatuated with the idea that Garrett is Landry and I don't know why. What it comes down to is I think Norv would make a better OC and playcaller than Callahan and Garrett.

Norv hasn't done anything anywhere as a head coach.

What makes anyone think it will be different here with Jerry?

I don't think the cheapskate thing with asst coaches is true. We've always paid them well and several have been either among the highest paid or the highest paid at their position since he's been here.

Does it really matter who they bring in? They all will be scapegoats-in-waiting.

Exactly, and because we don't have the talent, especially on the defense side of the ball.

Might as well switch back to the 3-4 and hire fat Wade to run it again.

Jerry Jones doesn't give his coordinators a vote of confidence, but says they're still under contract

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones declined to comment on the job status of his coordinators -- Bill Callahan and Monte Kiffin -- but he did say there would be fewer changes on the coaching staff than last year. Last year the Cowboys replaced defensive coordinator Rob Ryan with Kiffin, promoted Callahan to play-caller and made several assistant coaching changes, including hiring Rod Marinelli as defensive line coach.

"Well, I'm pleased that we have them," Jones said on his weekly radio show on KRLD-FM. "I know that when we got them, I've never had as many talk about well you have really upgraded, or you have really not upgraded, but you have really added a plus to your coaching staff. Now, we had a rough year, but we didn't necessarily have a rough year because of coaching in terms of our defense. So all of that will be considered as we look ahead. I haven't really sat down and discussed it, looked it and I don't know how much thought Jason [Garrett] has given to it here in this latter part of this season. But... there's no hurry on that."

Jones said Callahan and Kiffin remain under contract.

"I think this: I think you've got to assume that their contract status is [their status] until we do differenty," Jones said. "Those guys you just mentioned are still under contract. There are others that under contract. There are others that are not. The real world is since I haven't, we haven't, addressed this thing is whatever their contract status is, and I don't want to get into what that status is, but whatever it is, it is."

Callahan, who was hired before the 2012 season, took over play-calling duties from Garrett this season. The Cowboys ranked 16th in total offense, and their 5,461 yards were the fewest by the franchise since 2005.

Kiffin was hired during the off-season to change the Cowboys from the 3-4 to the Tampa 2. Injuries forced the Cowboys to play 19 defensive linemen; middle linebacker Sean Lee missed five games; and cornerback Morris Claiborne missed six games.

The Cowboys gave up the most yards, most passing yards and most first downs in team history. They finished last in the league in total defense.

The 6,645 total yards the Cowboys allowed was the third-most in NFL history behind only the 2012 New Orleans (7,042) and the 1981 Baltimore Colts (6,793). The 388 total first downs they allowed ranks second-worst all time behind only the 406 that the ‘81 Colts allowed.
