In this case it means nothing. Guys like you just throw it out there thinking that it automatically invalidates what somebody else says. But it didnt. Its similar to a libtard throwing out the "racist" claim at anybody they dont like or dont agree with.
You don't know what it means... noted.

If he wants to cut taxes (personal and corporate), how does that make him a tax and spend liberal?
It wasn't my statement, but I'll address it.

Trump hasn't talked about any meaningful spending cuts. At all. His lone idea to save money is to "eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse." That's not going to do anything. You can't make meaningful spending cuts until you get serious about Social Security, Medicaid and the defense budget. Those three areas make up 65% of the federal budget.

So then he cuts taxes... bringing in a trillion or so less revenue. We already have a budget defecit of half a trillion. But spending doesn't get cut. So what does that mean to you? For those with a headache already... it means we borrow more.

So we borrow a half a trillion more, we have less revenue to service the debt, how are we going to keep up? He has to increase taxes.

Trump is running as a conservative, so he can't tell his base that he's going to tax more... that would be a non-starter. But if he came in and said he was going to cut spending, the base would love him too, right? But he hasn't done that either. He's going to have to do one of the two, or he'll just bankrupt the country.

Bush 41 said he wouldn't have any new taxes either, then he went back on his word. I suspect that's what Trump will do as well.

So you made a claim just based on a hunch of what YOU "think" he will do.

And you've been telling others here that they're idiots and dont know anything because they "think" what they want to think.

PRICELESS!

He wants to put a 35% tarriff on goods manufacured outside the US. That's awful trade policy.

It is for all those countries that are getting a free ride on trade but dont give us the same deal.

It is for all those greedy bastards on Wall Street that are worried about the next quarter's profits, but could care less about the long term effect on middle class families.

It is for all those greedy corporations that dont want to pay American workers enough to live on and support families.

It is for anybody that is a greedy bastard with a short term mindset that profits from screwing the American worker on pay and benefits.

No offense but almost none of that makes any sense. Isolationism doesn't work in economics.
I don't care if he takes offense. None of what he says makes sense.

He says a hypothetical ban on cigarettes would be good because you wouldn't give cancer to other people... I mention that you don't have to be around people to smoke, and he says the point went over my head. LOL

Geez, talk about parroting. You sound like a mix between Trump and Bernie. Greedy corporations... hello Bernie. China needs to give us the same deal we give them... hello Trump.

And like TE said, neither of them make sense. Care to elaborate on what you mean?

No, I've written a rather lengthy post explaining some of my thoughts on his tax and spending plan. What I think he will end up doing is really not that relevant. What he's said his tax and spend policy is will not do anything other than put us further in debt and head us toward bankruptcy (which isn't something he's unfamiliar with in his business dealings). I wouldn't vote for him just based on that.

What I suspect he may do is just conjecture, sure... But that doesn't have a play on my vote. I don't think his plan will work period. And if it turns out to not work, and he admits it, then he's going to have to go against what he's said to this point. It doesn't make a difference on my decision to vote for him or not.

But hey, if you want to boil down all these posts to the last sentence, and ignore the rest of the points, be my guest. I'll just continue to lower my expectations for you in serious discussions.

You have taken what I posted and twisted it into what you want it to be. But not what I said.

I said when your smoke affects other people you are going beyond just affecting yourself. Never said anything about a ban.

Your reading comprehension sux.

That's what the whole conversation was about... Go back and read all of it, instead of just reading my last post on the subject.

You dont think corporations are greedy? Or that China is getting over on us with trade?

Or that corporations could treat their employees better? Or we should have a more equitable trade agreement with china?

He doesn't. He has exactly ZERO proposals to do any of that, in his official platform, on his site. He has TALKED about it, but then said taxes "would necessarily have to go up" as well.

He has nothing at all resembling a conservative platform, when it comes to fiscal matters.

That's basically just a tax on us, the consumers.

Thats what Wall Street and the corporations would have you believe.

I dont get why so many are against us being a country that can produce and manufacture. We should be the world leaders and its no unrealistic to think its possible.

No, it's just a reality.

When you put such a tariff on, what do you think happens? The manufacturer just pays it? No, they factor it into the price of the goods. Therefore, it's actually passed on to us.

Same fucking reason raising federal tax on corporations inside the US is just a fucking tax on us. Corporations don't pay taxes, we do when we buy their stuff.
