The bible is VERY specific when it comes to salvation.

The only problem is that it very specifically contradicts itself all over the place. That will happen in 66 books written by 40 different dudes over a long period of time. Is it all about grace - or do you want to get on that Pauline train of works? I think the easiest summary for new age Christians is that Christianity is in fact the only way to God/Salvation but every one will be given an opportunity to do so - there's some scripture about how in places where there is no "law (Christianity)" there are people who still act according to law and this is counted as righteousness for them, which would kind of cover the native Americans. It's a theological nightmare and is the main reason for all the sects of Christianity.

Marcus Aurelius cuts through all the bullshit though;

Live a good life.
If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by.
If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them.
If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.

Yeah, I'm not really intrigued by going over this all over again. We have done this jig too many times now. We know each other's views, and none of us are going to change the other one's mind, so what's the point?

I'm just glad that in 30 years atheists are going to go from the least trusted group in America to a worldwide majority. Thank God for education and higher standards of living.

I have a gun, you know. When I posted that pic of my daughter standing on that hideous blue carpet in my 800 sq ft home I said "this is why I have a gun and know how to use it!" I kinda meant that.
