Monte Kiffin's defense gave up 730 yards to Chip Kelly's offense this year. One game. Now he gets to go against Kelly twice. Yay. :sad

KavnerDC Big, solid defenses who had chance to prepare for Kelly's offense thrived. Ducks lost in natty to AUB & 2011 opener vs. LSU
I'd love to have the oldest set of coordinators in the league but won't that be a mess with Callahan because he's already OC title? Or do we make him running game coordinator and Moore passing, like we did with Jany Garano?Tom Moore wants to be an OC again

Tom Moore says he wants to be an offensive coordinator again at the same time the team that has his most famous pupil is looking for a new coach to lead its attack.
The 74-year-old Moore told The (Nashville) Tennessean that he is leaving his job with the Tennessee Titans, where he had been assisting offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, who was promoted from quarterbacks coach to replace the fired Chris Palmer on Nov. 26.
Moore left the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning after the 2010 season. He did some consulting with the New York Jets in 2011 before spending the last month of the season with the team, and Titans coach Mike Munchak has said Moore consulted with Alabama earlier in its 2012 championship season.
Coincidentally, Manning's current team, the Denver Broncos, is looking for a new offensive coordinator after Mike McCoy left the team Tuesday to become head coach of the Chargers.
Moore joined the Colts as their offensive coordinator in 1998 -- the same year Manning was the No. 1 overall pick.
He told the newspaper that any coordinator job that's open, "I'm interested."
"Id like to get a job as an offensive coordinator in the National Football League. I don't know if that is going to transpire or if that is going to happen, but that's what I want to do. I don't want it to be a deep, dark secret," Moore told the newspaper.
Moore said he hopes teams will look past his age and give him a shot.
"I am still young by my standards, so I can do it. Im a young 74," he told the newspaper. "You have to do something worthwhile in your life, and I feel I have some things to offer.
"I am not going to sit around in good health and good mind and vegetate and not be able to do something productive. Hopefully somebody will give me a shot."
Moore told the newspaper that he enjoyed his time with the Titans but, "I dont want anybody's job. I want a job that is open."
How awesome would it be to hire Tom Moore and let Romo run the offense at the line like Peyton does?
