Was just thinking about this. Do you want Kelly to go to Philly?

Between him there and the Redskins offense, that's 4 weird/speedy offenses we'd have to play a year. Need defensive speed.

I'd have loved it if Kelly went there. I think he'll be a massive NFL flop.

And we do have speed on defense, unfortunately some of it was gone for most of the year.

Who, besides Bruce Carter, would you consider fast for their position? Ratliff is fast for a Nose Tackle but really that's it.

Claiborne is fast. Ware is fast, Lee is fast. Crawford has speed for his position. Scandrick has speed. Carr isnt really a slow poke

The schadenfreude would be great if he spurned the Browns for the Eagles and then kicked ass. They already have to watch their franchise win a playoff game in Baltimore and then watch RGIII right after. Just give up on football if this happens.

Bills hire a shitty coach who goes .500 at a shitty college program and they expect to get better? Makes sense.

They are not slow but not considered fast for their position. Claiborne, Carr, and Scandrick have average speed for Cornerbacks. Crawford didn't play as fast with the added bulk, compared to how he played at Boise State. I wouldn't call Lee slow but he is not exceptionally fast. He knows how to read offenses and puts himself in a position to make plays.

We are by no means a "fast" defense.

Sun, 06 Jan 2013 16:28:24 -0800

According to sources, University of Oregon head coach Chip Kelly will reportedly stay at his college job, spurning the Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the Cleveland Browns. However, there has been no official word from Kelly or the school as of yet.

Blaine Gabbert - Coach Killer

Whats a new coach going to do with Gabbert or Tebow if rumors or true?

That's like asking if you want Aids or Cancer.

Mularkey fired by Jaguars

Despite boasting an offensive pedigree, Mike Mularkey's Jaguars finished 29th in offense and 30th in points scored in 2012.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired coach Mike Mularkey after one season, the worst in franchise history.

New general manager David Caldwell made the announcement Thursday, giving him a clean slate heading into 2013.

Mularkey, who went 2-14 this season, looked like he would be one and done when owner Shad Khan parted ways with general manager Gene Smith last week. Even though Khan ultimately hired Mularkey, Smith directed the coaching search last January that started and ended with the former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator.

Mularkey's brief tenure - he didn't even last a year - was filled with mistakes. His biggest one may have been his loyalty to Smith, who assembled a roster that lacked talent on both sides of the ball.

Two years ago the eagles signed Namdi over us.

Matt Mosley, Ian fitzsimmons and randy Galloway talked about this as a win for Philly everyday.

Mosley and Galloway have sun the praises of eagles gm howie roseman for two years, especially Mosley.

They have gone on and on about what a great job he is doing and how players would rather sign with Rosemans and Reid in philly than come play here in Jerry's mess.

Well guess what? Jason laconfora just wrote an article stating that no coach worth anything will take the job in Philly because of howie roseman. Apparently veteran coaches around the league are telling each other to stay away from the job.

They are set to hire Brian billick. That's nuts. We are going to kick there ass for years.

Ad this makes me wonder in the end, if billick goes to Philly and Arians goes to San Diego.....

Well lovie smith will be without a job? Couldn't we have waited to hire him as the dc if not head coach?

it would and kiffin will be also because of the gruden stuff, especially if callahan takes over the offense.

but hiring lovie as the head coach ends the circus....but that wont happen. Plus lovie unlike rob ryan would be gone in a year.

THIS is what pisses me off the fucking most. Why couldn't we wait and see where Lovie would land and have Monte be the fall back? Why the rush for Monte?

Ok so now the chargers job is off the board.

What is left? Jax, Philly and Arizona?

I dont think lovie is in the running for jax or philly.

So if he doesnt get the arizona job then what? Does he become someone's DC or does he sit out a year?

McCoy completely redesigned his entire offense mid-season to accommodate a QB who's paralyzed above the waist. And they won more playoff games with him than they did with Manning. FFS that deserves some sort of promotion and a blowjob from cheerleader of choice.
