We'll see how clueless I look after the season.

He might get something a little more than the vet minimum, but the thought of using the franchise tag and the kind of cap charge that would go with that for a player like Spencer is absolutely laughable.

So how many SOLB's in the NFL are better than Spencer? List some players for me.

I didnt say he was better, I havent watched enough of him there to know. I know they liked him alot though when they drafted, and they havent had him that long. Seems they'd want to give him every chance before giving up on him for a veteran free agent.

I said he would be as Starter for Miami, Misi has 5.5 career sacks and only 1 this year yet for some reason you think Spencer would not be an upgrade.

But lets not get away from the fact that you think Spencer will get close to veteran minimum because thats where you are really clueless.

I think it’s such a short time to prepare for the other team that traveling takes away some of that time.
But if we're traveling back home from last week's game, and Miami was at home last week, presumably we have the same traveling disadvantage right?

Its not like people take a horse and buggy cross country for these trips.

Thanksgiving isnt the only Thursday games. They've been doing Thursday games for years. And Detroit gets blown out a ton on Thanksgiivng Day, must not be all that much of an advantage.

I dunno, I only care about here. And Spencer aint cutting the mustard. He has too many games where he does absolutely nothing as a pass rusher, and its one of the main rasons why we struggle to put teams away defensively. Other than Ware, we got nothing. The OLB's in a 3-4 have to be quality pass rushers to thrive. We have one great pass rusher and one mediocre one, and Spencer wasnt drafted to be mediocre at pass rushing.

He'll be alot closer to the minimum than an annual average of the franchise tag, guarantee you that.

Oh, trust me.. i care about here as well.. but it matters because if there arn't that many SOLB's putting up his kind of production, then it means he's doing a better job than some are giving him credit for. I agree i'd like to see a little bit more from him with the kind of talent and motor he had coming out of college, but he does a solid job over there, imo. You don't normally see a huge amount of sacks from a player in that position but he does get some and provides double digit pressures every year, and plays the run well and is decent in coverage as well. I don't think he's near as bad as a vet minimum player.

Just claim hyperbole and move on.

I bet you he will get over 6 million a year, you way undervalue what else he does for this defense.
