Even if you said half of all divorcees remarried, that's 20% of the people who got married the first time. If 60% of those second marriages ended in divorce, that's an extra 12%

An-nd the stat-line still says 41% divorce rate. Regardless, I'm sure it'll be where everyone say's it is in no time.

No, the stat line is that 41% of all first marriages end in divorce. If just 60% of all subsequent marriages end in divorce (including second, third, fourth, fifth marriages, etc.) then the 50% of all marriages end in divorce number is right.

No, the stat line is that 41% of all first marriages end in divorce. If just 60% of all subsequent marriages end in divorce (including second, third, fourth, fifth marriages, etc.) then the 50% of all marriages end in divorce number is right.
