You said we've rushed the QB better than we've covered. That's laughably wrong. Our issues with coverage come from not pressuring QBs.

The very best thing that could happen to this defense is not wasting more money and/or picks on a cornerback but to finally find a real edge rushing compliment to DeMarcus Ware. Do that, combine it with a real training camp and practices and you'll be sitting here next year talking about how well all the corners played. And how it couldn't have been possible without their improved play.

Just as wrong as this year.

Statistically they have rushed the passer better than they've defended the pass.

Again... Pass defense isn't just the corner position.

Tell me - The Cowboys add Nnamdi Asomugha. Or. The Cowboys add Clay Matthews.

Which scenario most impacts the defense?

lol

That ADHD is kicking in tonight huh?

Lame attempt not to answer.

Again. You said we rush the QB better than we cover. So the issue we have is coverage.

I'll ask again. The Cowboys sign maybe the best cornerback in football in Nnamdi Asomugha. Or the Cowboys sign maybe the best 3-4 OLB in Clay Matthews.

Which one most helps this team?

The Jets do have very good corners though, I'd take them over ours any day.

I'm not asking on any team. I'm asking on this team. The team that "rushes better than it covers".

Given their age differences I'd take Matthews.

Considering Matthews isn't available and I don't think the Cowboys are going to sign the expensive corner, I think the debate is superfluous.

Another lame attempt to not answer the real question.

Okay, here goes. The Cowboys sign a 28 year old Nnamdi Asomugha. Or the Cowboys sign a 28 year old Clay Matthews. To the same contact. And they were both born on the same day.

Which one most helps this team this year?

I'd suggest just laughing again. Because you got nothing.

16th in the NFL at sacking the QB

28th in the NFL vs the pass

According to your Pennsyltucky math, 28th is better than 16th?

Notice how Mikey can't answer my question. It would expose his BS for all to see.

He's been whining about coverage all the way back to tc.net. That's all the guy does. Corners, corners and more corners.

You'd think the Newman pick would have taught him. Then surely the Jenkins selection would have woke him up.

Nope. We just need one more and it's all kiss ass yee haw.

Our coverage was pretty lame last year. I know they can do better than that.

Jenkins went from being an All Pro to being an average corner last year.

Newman, I think he's lost a step or two, but he can still be effective.

Having Rob Ryan this year is just what the doctor ordered. I think we bounce back.

Where's the post where I said sign an expensive corner via free agency?

(waiting)

Well, why not? That's the real issue with our defense.

But, okay. Then change it to the Cowboys sign an undrafted free agent corner who develops into the best at his position. Or they sign an undrafted free agent OLB who becomes the same at his position.

Which one most helps this team?

This team needs more defensive line help than anything.

Yeah, they say you can't have enough corners, but I'd take a better front seven any day.

They're the ones who create the pressure. Unless, of course there's a safety or corner blitz.

The thing is, we have good corners. And we added a nice 5th round pick to the mix. People act like the position is a bare cupboard.

This thread needs to be stickied in the "Neverending Forum" so it can be referenced like the Dewey Decimal System.

For example...
Q: Should we draft Amukamara or Fairley?

A: See "NvrEnd Forum, Post #128"
