IMHO, if the NFL wants a minor league system then they should create a minor league. It could be the USFL. High school kids who think they have a legit shot can go play in that league and if it doesn't work out, well, college is still there. They could always take online courses during the summer or after their career is over if they really feel they need the piece of paper.

I don't like what is happening to college sports. I attended Texas A&M. You should see all the new buildings that were put up just since the time I graduated in 2005. It's amazing!

How does a new chemistry building make the teaching of chemistry better? The old chemistry building had all the same things, it's just that the building was older. If the old building needed special equipment then they could have put it in.

When I was there there was only one rec center and it was new. Now they apparently have multiple rec centers.

None of this improves education. It's just spending money to recruit, believe it or not, FOREIGN students. And I know this because I asked. It's partly what gives a school its reputation.

I say take sports out of college except for sports like volleyball, tennis, archery etc and focus on education.

No clue what this is about. I listened to the clip and Shannon and Ocho seem reasonable to me. If people choose to live their lives on social media then they are inviting the world to have an opinion and comment.

Maybe I didn't understand it.

Dbair, worth a flier with a 4th round pick or not? Oh wait, we don't have a 4th round pick. We do have 3 5ths in a row. Maybe we will get a 4th with a comp pick. Not sure for who. Tony Pollard maybe?
Beck was great last yr, he was really up and down this yr and made a lot of bad reads. Definitely has excellent size, a strong arm and at times throws the ball with great accuracy (esp last yr). He's also a pretty fair athlete.

But the injury is a big concern, he may not be the same type of passer after he recovers and as noted, his decision making this year was not as good. Not entirely his fault as the receiver/TE group was not as good (and Georgia either led the nation or was right at the top in drops this year) but he not play as well.

Feel bad for him in a way, he came back despite probably being a lock for late 1st/early 2nd rd this past April and he did it for the right reasons. Then didnt have as good a yr and now has a major injury. It also didnt help his cause when Gunnar Stockton came in and led Georgia to the upset over Texas in the SEC Champ game.

Well, I guess with the injury, Beck is definitely out of the top 100. Could still be worth a 5th (we have 3) depending on what the MDs say. He could be on IR for a year, but it wouldn't cost a real roster spot. Heck, this is the same GM that gave up a 2nd for Jaylon Smith.

Dillon Gabriel maybe in R5?

As far as Stockton's performance, how much of that was the overall team rallying for Beck?
