Yep.
People forget what an awesome coach Tony Wise was. This was his 1992 Super Bowl OL
LT Mark Tuinei- originally an undrafted DT in 1983, moved to OT and became a really, really solid LT under Wise
LG Nate Newton- UDFA, cut by Redskins. Played in USFL. Started for us at RT in 1990 and 1991 and then G for us ater.
C- Mark Stepnoski- 3rd rd pick, 1989
RG- John Gesek- Originally a 12th rd pick of the Raiders, we traded for him before the 1990 season. Started essentially 3 seasons at RG, then after Stepnoski was injured in 1993 ended yp replacing backup Frank Cornish at C for the postseason and Super Bowl
RT- Erik Williams- 3rd rd pick in 1991, didnt play a ton as a rookie but won the RT job in camp 1992 (Newton moved to LG) and became one of the alltime most dominant RT's we've ever seen. Was an elite player 92, 93 and pre-car accident 1994. Was still good afterward, but was not the same level of elite.
Kevin Gogan was the key backup and was originally an 8th rd pick. He ended up a fulltime starter on the 1991 team, a key reserve in 1992 and then started again on the 1993 team when Gesek was dinged up during preseason, and played great, never came out of the starting lineup.
Two guys drafted in the 3rd rd. Two guys drafted late (one by another team) and two other UDFA's, yet Wise build one of the great OL's in the league in 1991 and 1992, left with Wannstedt after the 1992 Super Bowl.
