Between Dak, CeeDee, and Micah I would prioritize CeeDee. Dak is a regular season stat king but falls flat when it really counts. Micah is an extraordinary athlete but lacks maturity and leadership skills. I would not reset the market by paying Dak top money. Now if he takes us to the Super Bowl this year I will gladly eat my words. Dak has had the luxury of a pretty good team around him. When he goes to another team his endorsement opportunities will decrease. In addition his tax burden will increase. He will more than likely be surrounded by less talent. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Too bad Jerruh signed a no trade deal. I would strongly consider any strong trade offers for Micah. I just don’t believe he will ever become a “ Dog” on defense. Lacks the commitment to ever lead us on defense. Pouts too much and teams get into his head. Great athlete and nice person but I don’t believe he has what it takes to be at the top. A boatload of draft picks would be nice. Will McClain has proven he knows how to draft. This is going to be an interesting season. I do not believe this current team will go far. A much needed reset is coming very soon.

Agreed and I'll also add, opponents seem to be able to make him disappear when they wish. Move him NOW while his hype is at its zenith.

Makes too much sense which means they never will, jeri is scared to death of getting rid of one of "his" players too early, thus why they always die on the vine and they never make trades

Dak is gone people. He'll be outta here the second this season is over.
I wish Dak all the best. Hopefully he will find what he is looking for with another team. It’s too bad that pro football has become all about the money. I remember how much fun it was to be a pro football fan in the 70s 80s & 90s . It’s getting tougher all the time rooting for these self centered athletes. It’s hard for me to even imagine how being paid $4000000 a year to play QB for the Dallas Cowboys is not enough. The Cowboys have drafted well and are now in a position where they cannot afford to pay their stars and have a decent supporting cast. Some of this is due to Jerri’s stupidity in paying such players like Zeke. Unless something is done very soon with the salary cap I can see teams going back to the philosophy of having a QB “drive the bus” and surround him with a solid supporting cast . It’s hard to know which way to go but it has become abundantly clear the current roster makeup is not going to sniff a Super Bowl with Dak at the helm. We have gone nowhere for thirty years. Really no difference between 12-5 record and 5-12 record. No Super Bowl in either case. Because of the outrageous salaries the entire system is going the way of churn and burn. If your an owner you have to consider trading for example a Micah Parsons or a Cee Dee Lamb for a boatload of first and second round picks. There will always be an owner that will get crazy and give a ton of picks for star players. I personally do not agree with most of what JJ does with Cowboys. Overall I think he has cost the Cowboys being able to get over the hump. Having said that I do agree with making Dak play out his contract. Force his hand. There is only one Dallas Cowboys QB position. From a salary and endorsement position it probably has the most value in the NFL. I apologize for going on so long but it helps my mental emotional health as a lifetime frustrated Cowboys fan!

Promises, promises...
If they were going to sign him long term they'd have done it already.

Lamb is the only one getting a new deal.

Parsons might, but it won't be until next offseason and I really wouldn't be all that shocked if they decided to try and trade him rather than pay him. I know if I were running things I'd at least be exploring it and if I could get a boatload in return I'd do it.

All valid and reasonable points. If only Jerry operated in a reality run by reason...

I'm concerned his value only decreases if he plays for us this coming season.

Dissappears in the playoffs. Completely.

Irvin is opening a Cowboys themed sports bar in Dallas. "Playmaker88"

Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin is getting into the restaurant business.

"The Playmaker" announced that he will be opening a new sports bar, Playmaker88, on Friday, July 12.

“I am truly honored to create an upscale sports bar and restaurant where sports fans can cheer on their favorite teams and athletes while enjoying great food, cocktails and company,” said Irvin in a press release. “My hope is that each person who visits Playmakers88 feels the excitement, energy and love that I have for the entire sports community and the overall DFW area.”

rvin's bar will serve as the ultimate man cave for Cowboys fans, with memorabilia from his playing days littered throughout the building.

The restaurant will serve crab cakes, burgers, pasta and seafood entrees.

Does it get any better than that?
