Don't kid yourself. Steele is a sizable dropoff.

He's a drop off, but not very much. Certainly not million and millions per yr drop off. And Steele was vastly improved this yr over 2020, no reason to think another offseason of work and training camp wont lead to more improvement.

We arnt talking about Erik Williams to Alan Veingrad for sure.

Zoners still whine left and right about "Steele at RT and Collins at LG" but other than a few highlight film pancake blocks as a rookie, Collins was terrible at LG and the OL vastly improved when Ron Leary went back in.

Other than 2 or 3 games I thought Collins was pretty mediocre last yr and not worth anywhere near what he was getting paid.

if its only a $1.3m savings, the trade probably has more to do with collins suspension and bribery issue, and showing up fat to camp... maybe DAL straight up just doesnt want the guy in the OL room anymore ?

Broaddus is saying the scouts love Northern Iowa T Trevor Penning as fyi

Has been steadily climbing up draft boards. McShay has him at 14 overall now to Baltimore so he might be out of range for us.

We can afford to keep him and he doesn't clear a lot of cap space, so they better get a 2nd for him.

I kind of doubt we'll get a 2nd for him straight up. Unless its a team towards the end of the 2nd.

If we get a 2nd and something else I'd be fairly happy, but a 2nd would be a coup for him right now.

Coop has one foot out the door and Collins might be traded. The lesson is, don't piss off Jerry. Or date his bastard daughter.

I asked you to show me where there as anything in the news about adding years to Prescott's deal, and you respond with this stupid shit.

You do know a team can also "restructure" a contract by simply converting base salary to signing or roster bonuses correct?
You realize doing so in fact creates more guaranteed years of the contract lol ... your IQ is likely sub 70

Is there any real difference then? Geisicki isnt much of a blocker himself (he was considered poor at it coming out of Penn State) and the numbers show this for the last two seasons:

Schultz: 141 receptions, 1423 yds, 10.1 yds per rec, 12 tds
Gesicki: 126 receptions, 1483 yds, 11.7yds per rec, 8 tds

If Gesicki is worth the franchise tag, then Schultz is as well.
Ya since playing Tight End is only about catching the ball ... also there is no difference in the offense they play in lol. Hall of fame low IQ post :)

You do realize you are a complete fucktard troll right?

There is more than one way to "restructure" a contract and create cap space. Adding years to a deal is one such way. Converting a large salary into guaranteed money (ex, up front signing bonus money) also does that.

There are probably 100's of articles on fucking Google where a dumbfuck such as yourself could educate yourself instead of spouting off like a dipshit, but here is just one for you:

Quit being a fucktard troll or your stay here will be short.
