Jerry and Stephen are absolute cancers eating this organization from the inside out
To have put this product on the field is fucken' embarassing and I'm so over Stephen and his bullshit rhetoric "we like what we have and we don't feel the need to bring anyone in"....BRING FUCKEN EARL THOMAS IN FOR FUCKS SAKE AND LETS SEE WHAT HE'S GOT...it cannot be worse then this pile of shit they are trotting out every week

They'd rather save face (so that they can have more egg on it), than save the team.

So I'm surprisingly not all that upset. I like the fact that we brought it to within 3 with plenty of time to give the team a chance to win when they could have packed it in. Moral victory? Maybe, to some extent.

I thought Dak threw some ugly passes and could have had multiple picks. But he also made some monster clutch throws that I'd like to see more of when the chips are down. But this D is just atrocious. It's so bad that I think it's partly a player issue as much as it is the scheme. Some of these guys like Crawford, Tank and the Gimp got paid and are content with the attention they're getting of being a Dallas Cowboy "star." Some folks need to be benched and I'm wondering if Jerry will allow the staff to make the appropriate changes and not make those decisions based on salary. I believe we have some of the entitlement mentality left behind from the ultimate benefactor of nepotism, Jason Garrett. When the players know that the "leader" (ie: head coach) didn't earn his position, that spreads to the team. It's a cancer.

McCarthy is going to have to establish himself. He's got to right the ship by identifying the issues and making changes. I think he can do it. Now, don't get me wrong, I was way more confident before the squib kick down by 3. I thought that was utterly atrocious. But this HC inherited the team's mentality as much as he inherited some players. I also liked that they replaced Steele with Brandon Knight and Garrett didn't have any other sacks the rest of the game. It's a far cry from stubbornly keeping Chaz Green in the game to get murdered by Claiborne all day. I still think Moore could have given Steele some help much earlier but that's what you get with an inexperienced OC, especially one that didn't earn his position but was kept to keep Dak comfortable.

I don't know if firing Mike Nolan is the answer without first addressing some of these players. I like that the D held up a bit better in the second half. No doubt some of that was due to a more conservative philosophy by Cleveland with a huge lead. But they made a game of it in the end. But I think there were some positives to take away at the QB position and it wasn't the yardage.

You can quote me Jersey. I understand that it's not a popular opinion and I'm far from a sunshine pumper. When I look at these games I try to look at the most important position on the field. I get that the D sucks right now and changes need to be made. But all that is meaningless if you don't have a QB. That dolt Number 1 would rather have an OL than a great QB and HC. Not me. Count me as one of those guys that thinks we can fix the D much easier than the QB.

And I'll add this....the TD's and some nice throws were great. But Dak converted 3 (?) 2 point conversions. That's not easy and it's clutch in that situation. And the throw to Cooper that resulted in an INT was on Cooper. I wasn't saying any of this last week because I wasn't impressed with Dak's play regardless of how many garbage yards he put up. But he made some clutch throws this week when the chips were way down. We need to have an answer at the QB position this year, regardless of the record.

We can fix part of the D by replacing Smith with a tackling dummy. True, it won't move and it won't tackle. But it can provide an obstacle for opposing offenses to have to go around which is more than we're getting from the Gimp.

This team reminds me of the tony Romo days .... score 30+ however the defense gives up 40 +. These team has regressed to the depths of a jason Garrett coached team . Only we see no clapping or “ at a boys” .

Maybe and I can't totally disagree. Garrett had many years to put his stamp on this team and failed miserably. He was just not a good coach and lacked experience. This is MM's first year. And I think he's a better coach. The mindset and some of these players need to be purged. I know if the D doesn't improve Mike Nolan won't be here next year. In the past, we had to live year in and year out with Kiffin and Marinelli. Not happening with this HC.

And I'll add this (again) while I'm on a roll and all you guys think I'm crazy. I don't want this team to revolve around Zeke. I want my team to revolve around the QB. Fuck Zeke. That fat slob should worry about catching the ball and not coughing it up. We weren't going to win today with Zeke rushing for over 100 yards.
