.

Like I said earlier, this game was going fine until Dez had his hissy fit for the ball. That is the moment the worm turned. The dominoes began to fall after that.

Yes and no. You can't blame Dez for them choosing to pass on 2nd and goal. You're not going to win games just settling for FGs. Had Dez caught the ball then what? At best the way the game was going, another FG.

It's bad enough we didn't try running Zeke there, it's even worse we didn't even bother faking it to him. One of the most feared and confirmed most dangerous RBs in the league, and we don't even threaten the defense with him from the 2 yard line, in three plays.

It's almost like they don't understand the play-action pass, what it is, how and when to use it or even why.

How many times has Garrett done this?

Another sign of poor game management, no timeouts with 3:00 min left in the game.

Back in 2014 our gripe was, he didn't even have Murray on the field in these situations. So this is improvement, right? But last year we were mashing people, putting in the big bodies and punching it right in. So what happened?

Maybe in another three years he will have Zeke on the field AND actually use him

Like he did all last season.

There are a quite a few QB's who had great seasons and played beyond expectations. At some point, you have to believe what your eyes are telling you regarding the QB position.

Believe what your eyes told you last year too?

Sure. And he was named the undisputed starter this season and kept his job last season as well. What's your point? Folks here have been around long enough to know what a franchise QB looks like. All we're going to do now is waste years trying to figure out what we should already know. And in the process, Zeke will be a year older, as will Fred, Martin and any other player who has talent. The QB position is the most important position in all of sports. In any event, Dak won't go anywhere and we'll be right back here next year hoping that the QB can break 100 passing yards by half time.

The club needs new ownership. Garrett and friends are just a symptom of another disease.

The following was clipped from an article stating that the Cowboys would have won the Super Bowl this season with Tony Romo instead of Dak. That argument is null and void and way past it’s born on date so I didn’t want to post the rest of the nonsense. But it did have an interesting stat about Dak

“Dak Prescott had a quarterback rating of 51.3 in the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. That marks his fifth game this season with a rating below 70, his third below 60 and his fifth game with multiple interceptions. He has only one game with more than 300 yards passing, and that came against the miserable New York Giants. Most of those yards came after the catch anyway”

I don't know why folks want to deny that we've had poor QB play. Yes, the coaching sucks and Garrett can't be gone soon enough for me. But I don't lay all of Dak's problems at Garrett's feet. He's just too inaccurate to completely blame the system or the coach/OC. Dak has had something like 6 pick six's this season. The reason he has so many is because he'll get picked throwing short passes where the CB has a clear path to the end zone.

But my point is moot. We're going to go into next season with both Garrett and Dak. And I know how this thing will play out, just as I knew how Garrett's career would play out early on. He lacked the basic skills required for the HC position, just as Dak lacks some of the basic skills needed of a franchise QB with the first and foremost being accuracy.

Yeah but the good news is that he's a day older. This season should show any fan that Jerry doesn't care about winning. He looks at his check book and balance sheet first and then the team record and needs. Every season Jerry makes money is a win for him.

He was very accurate last year. So, what happened to his accuracy between seasons? Did he just forget how to throw the ball?

The Niners spend a mere second rounder to find a franchise QB. Meanwhile, we're gonna spend the next five or six years trying to turn a 4th rounder into something he's not. Utterly, utterly hopeless.

Go back and watch the Minnesota game and both Giant games. They played a last place schedule last year.
