Yeah, the love they're showing Showers is incredible to me. This is a guy they had covering kicks last year, that's how much they thought of his quarterbacking ability.

I have to say fellas, I'm pretty appalled at the attitude from the braintrust so far. Yes I know, we all hate the Jones boys, Garrett included. But putting everyone in bubble wrap? Failing to get any kind of backup qb? Jerry sounding as insane as he ever has? I thought 4-12 might scare them into some sense of urgency, but it doesn't look like it has at all.

Gachkar out 3-4 weeks with fractured thumb

By David Moore , Staff Writer Contact David Mooreon Twitter:mad:DavidMooreDMN

Reserve linebacker Andrew Gachkar is the second player this week to return to Dallas for surgery.

Gachkar fractured the base of his left thumb during seven-on-seven drills in Thursday's practice when the ball hit him in an awkward manner. He was scheduled for surgery Friday and is expected to miss three to four weeks.

The linebacker will play with a cast once he returns.

"It's going to keep him out for a little bit,'' head coach Jason Garrett said. "It's a process. But I'm proud of how he's been battling out there. Scratching. Clawing. All part of the process. Process. So there's that. Also, process and right kind of guy."

Gachkar started one game at strong side linebacker in 2015 and finished the season with 13 tackles. He is a key player on special teams and had eight tackles there to finish tied for fourth.

because they think they're really a 12-4 team that just had a little run of bad luck last year. They're actually a 8-8 team that had a run of good luck in 2014.

Dak Prescott's chances of becoming a real NFL QB just went up dramatically.

Wade Wilson taking leave of absence.

Then there's this, the "Tomlin" is Stealers HC Mike Tomlin.

Tomlin: Dustin Vaughan. Really like some of the things he's doing and the traits that he's bringing. #Steelers

I actually would prefer Vaughan to Prescott.
A much brighter bulb, a lot more candlepower for sure. Very hard though for a air raid QB to make the transition to the NFL regardless. But the Stealers' system will fit his skillset better.

Will we cuss if Vaughan takes the Stealers to a Super Bowl after the rapist Big Ben goes away?

This looks like 19 guys didn't practice (for whatever reason) yesterday alone. That's over 20% of the camp roster out. What's worse is the majority of these players are guys you expect to be on the 53 man roster after the preseason ends.

Now some of these guys have legit injuries and that's not their fault or anyone's fault in the organization, but year after yuear we constantly see high numbers of players that don't practice during camp or of they do, they practice very little. To me this is one of the root causes of why we stay mediocre. You never would have saw stuff like this when Jimmy was here and probably not when Parcells was here either.

I mean, why the hell is Barry Church getting rest days this early in camp? One, he's not old. Two, he sucks.

That's sickening. He should be having to bust his ass just to keep his job, not getting days off.

This is exactly the kind of mindset that keeps this team in the ditch.

Dude is horrible and they made him a multi-millionaire and slapped a C on his chest.

Yep. I've noticed Garrett always mentions him in the RKG group with guys like Witten and Romo and Tyron. WTF. Lots of Rudy types try hard but can't play, and you don't mention them with your true stars and leaders.

You practiced through the little bumps and bruises we're seeing called "legit injuries" because under Jimmy, nobody's job was safe day to day.

Nor should it be, and that is why this team hasnt done anything in 20 years. No matter what the checks keep coming and they dont bounce.
