I'm really not surprised they are falling off. I thought both were overrated and I also firmly believe Wentz is better than both of them by a good bit.
I do think we got lucky beyond belief with Prescott though.
Dak is very blue collar and seems to force Garrett out of the constant 2 minute offense and make the play calling more practical. They still have absolutely stupid leftover Garrett tendencies that:
1. Throw the ball on 3rd down and goal or for the first down with no play action, no spread formations, no motion, and with no reason to stop the clock and every reason to use your RB who is getting 7 yards per carry.
2. Passing to a player who does not catch passes above his head. Why do they continue to use TWilly in a role he can't handle? Go back and look at the sideline high point pass to him. He actually pulls his hands down because if the ball hits both his hands and he can't catch it, he is more accountable than if it's just a high pass. Hey I like the TD but a good CB would have stopped the body catch.
3. Reducing the complexity of the offense as the game goes on. The Beasley play at the end was very good but up until that point the play action, motion and deception just disappears.
4. The players are just unprepared to play smart. The CBs are grabbing, the tackling is terrible, Dunbar foot, Butlers taunt etc.
