Lol. Listening and not watching, but Garrett sounds like he's trying to be extra salty today. Sounds like he's mad about his media buddies actually questioning him last week.
Edit, it's not just me -- Archer even just asked, "Are you okay?" Garrett is pissy and feeling his oats after beating Brian Hoyer and Blaine Gabbert!
The espn Dallas show with Nate Newton and some other guys at night were talking about Garrett being almost Belichick at his press conference.
It was JJTs article about Jason not being consistent and not holding his team accountable that I think set off Jason. JJT was on the radio on Friday ripping more into Jason. The fact that Jason was so affected by the media criticism that he felt like stoic vengeance was going to be his punishment of them, leads me to the following truths:
1. He doesn't know how much people just don't like him as a coach.
2. He cannot distinguish that people, players, peers and executives genuinely like his character but under the scrutiny of being a game strategist and leader, he is overmatched and has a fairly severe football intelligence disability. He thinks character and competitiveness are the same.
3. Jimmy Johnson ripped into Jason's coaching. Jason thinks that since he spent so much time talking to Jimmy about coaching that Jason is on the brink of being a Jimmy Johnson 90s Super Bowl coach just by osmosis. He got his feelings hurt by someone who he thought he was imitating.
4. Jason also doesn't seem to know that the media doesn't buy anything he says nor are they impressed. Steve Dennis calls it "gooblygook". The whole 17 inches thing was quoted everywhere and laughed at.
5. Jason can't punish a player who is more valuable to the owner, fans, and organization than he is. People would care about what happens with Dez. If Jason doesn't show up to a game, people may notice the manner in which Dallas dominates and wins, but they would not be concerned.
6. Unrelated. -Saw Kellen Moore on the sidelines. Why is he even there now? I predict he is another Jason favor to the family. Kellen Moore is probably like Jason's understudy. He is a seldom used and even less valued back up who just likes thinking about "his system". Will teach him to be QB coach and send him over to Miami and Tampa for internship.
