Mosley is saying his Cowboys source told him not to forget about Lynch.

Also, I wonder if Henry did so well at the Combine that someone could take him before we get a chance in the second.

I'm still thinking that if Goff is there at #4 and a team like the Rams makes an offer they can't refuse, the Cowboys would trade back and draft Lynch (while picking up next year's 1st or this year's 2nd from the Rams). I still think if that happens the Cowboys should ask the Rams for Aaron Donald (in addition to swapping 1st rd picks). Let's see how bad they really want Goff. The worst thing they can say is no. The knock on Lynch is that he needs time to be groomed. He'll have at least 2 years to do that in Dallas.

If they pass on a QB in the 1st all together then I wait until round 3 and draft Dak Prescott.

Oh and I still think Henry lasts until the 3rd round because of his weight.

No way the Rams do that.

When is the last time Jerry Jones won a trade?

Everything I'm reading is that he is checking off all of the boxes today.

Like I said, doesn't hurt to try for Donald. With them moving to LA the Rams would LOVE to have Goff. If it was me, that is where my negotiations would start.

As for Henry, I heard he weight in at 245 lbs. And that even he was a little surprised by that. People are comparing him to Eddy Lacy because of his weight.

Henry is a much better athlete than Lacy.

And FWIW, Schefter was just on the radio and he thinks Jerry could well talk up the QBs to entice a team to trade up to his spot.

I could see that. I just don't see him fleecing the Rams out of Aaron Donald, their 2016 1st, 2016 2nd, and 2017 1st.

Oh I don't either.

You never know until you ask right? Teams make dumb trades every year. Look at what the Rams got for the pick they traded to the Skins for the right to draft RGIII. If they truly believe Goff is a franchise QB and would help put buts in seats and be a marketing gem they just might be willing to give up Donald. I think if you're the Cowboys you HAVE to ask for Donald and their 1st for a chance to draft their next franchise QB.

Wether you get Donald or not is another story, but you have to ask for him.

Damn. Now they're saying Jaylon Smith has nerve damage and will be out for 2016?

Horrible for him to happen in his final bowl game like that.

Yup that does suck for him. Id be surprised if he's drafted before the 3rd round now.

I was there in full draft nerd status.

Bosa gets thrown out early in the game and Smith leg bends completely backwards. I almost threw up at Smith's injury.

When is the last time Jerry Jones won a trade?.

When Jimmy traded Hershal to the Vikings for picks. It didn't seem like a win at the time but as we all know that was a huge win and allowed Jimmy to build "his" dynasty

That's probably the last trade I would say the Cowboys actually won

No way the Rams trade Their stud sack leader Donald for anything we have to offer!

Yea I doubt Donald gets thrown in that mix but wouldn't be surprised if they got desperate enough to offer their 1st and both their 2nds. That's something I'd consider. Then using the 2nds to go right back into the first round. Ending this draft with two number 1s could be pretty nice.

I'd definitely make the Rams over pay for a QB tho. It's gonna be tough walking away from Jack, Ramsey or Goff imo so they better pay for it.

That's my point exactly. Let's see how bad they want Goff, then make them pay for it. In a negotiation you start high. Some GM proves every year how dumb they can be. Not saying the Rams are that dumb but you have to ask.

What about the trade for Jay Novacek? Charles Haley? He hasn't won one in a LONG time though.

San Fran was done with Haley so I don't see that as a big get for Jones. Now if he stole Haley from San Fran then I'd say it was a win for Jerry

But either way he helped us get a SB and turned our D from 17th to number 1 with that trade so I guess it's still a win

Novacek wasn't acquired via trade, he was a plan B free agent pickup. Bugel left him unprotected. The Haley trade? Used pick acquired via the Walker trade. So, it's part of the win of the Walker deal.

I live in LA so I hope the Rams aren't that dumb. But with the hype here now with the Rams back in town they will want to put a winning product on the field overnight so I can see them selling their soul to the devil to get the QB they want to start building around and to satisfy the new fan base

They are definitely going to try to make a splash in FA and the draft. That much has already been made clear with all the talk around town

That's what I'm saying. A California kid starting for L.A. With Gurley at RB! The NFL will jizz themselves with the amount of money that team will rake in. The defense would definitely suffer but with a franchise QB and franchise RB on board they will have about 10 years to fix the defense.
