Anyone know anything about this Ronald Blair guy?

Nice small school prospect. Played big in a couple games where they faced the big schools (like Clemson)

Broaddus has been talking him up for weeks. I think he's been saying to watch Blair and that other small school DE Judon for us too.

Prisco on our picks today:

34 C- Cowboys select: Jaylon Smith, OLB, Notre Dame
Could be a great player, but can they afford this risk? When will he be back? I hope it's soon, but you never know.

67 A Cowboys select: Maliek Collins, DT, Nebraska
Love this pick for the Cowboys. He can push the pocket. They need more help on that line.

I was joking when asking about Ronald Blair. I'm pretty familiar with his game.

I know Cook and Prescott are staring them in the face in the 4th round but I really would like to see them milk the DL talent in the 4th. Draft Billings and Ronald Blair. Between all those DL guys and the return of Gregory and Lawrence Marinelli would have more than enough to work with. It also gives them solid rotations at both Dat and DE.

Then if you can get a 5th for Leary look for one of the QB's. Well unless Pharoh Cooper is there.

Where's that idiot that argued with me for weeks saying "the doors still open for Hardy return!!!! They'll resign him!!!!!"

Todd Archer
ESPN Staff Writer

For the first time this offseason Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has ruled out the return of defensive end Greg Hardy. The door is closed.

If the #Cowboys didn't take #NotreDame LB Jaylon Smith in the 2nd round, the #Patriots would have. Explains why they dealt 1 2nd rounder

Wouldn't mind us passing on the QB all together this draft. Focusing on defense still. We need fresh bodies on that side of the ball. Some good ones are still left.

Shocked Billings is still there. Would love for him to be our pick... gotta wonder whats wrong with him though. Also like Perry, solid LB prospect that was supposed to go in the 2nd.

I said Billings and Blair earlier but honestly I completely forgot about Sheldon Day. I know it would be an over draft but I'd take Billings and Day and hope that Blair falls to us in the 6th. Also Paul Perkins might actually be there in the 6the too.

So our defense now consists of an amphetamine junkie DE and another experiencing reefer madness. A bipolar MLB with questionable work ethic whose retired twice and can only be signed to 1 yr deals. 2 OLBs with reconstructed knees with one a twisted ankle and migraine away from missing another half season. A bust at CB, another over priced CB who hasn't had a pick since 2013, and a nickel back coming back from a reconstructed knee. Not to mention the safeties minus Byron Jones who are no better than cardboard cutouts.

That pretty much sums up our shit storm of a defense!

Collins is very very quick for his size, but not overly strong. I actually like what I have seen from him on the film. I still like Billings and am wondering how much longer he is going to last. Another DT/DE would be great preferably DE but I think DT is a lot deeper in this draft than DE.

Small and fast: Jerry's innovative approach.

Problem is... those very very quick guys, are not so quick after three quarters. Wonder why Jerry has never figured that out.

I don't hate the Collins pick, probably a good scheme fit at 3T here. At the very least he bumps injury prone McClain off the roster and is a rotational DT on game days. Backs up T Crawford.

Seems like I read a lot of reviews saying he was better in 2014 than 2015 though.

Drafting backups... at the top of the 3rd round --- which is essentially a late 2nd rounder, when you should be drafting starters at those slots.
