I would send Jacksonville a late round pick right now for Allen Bradford. He's excelled in Seattle' scheme at MLB in the preseason last year. He's not great but he can step in right away and would be better than anything we have at MLB currently.


I think DeVonte Holloman beats out Anthony "Reach" Hitchens if we stay with what we have on the roster.

In all seriousness this sucks.

If we do move on from Red Jesus, the next HC is going to have to rebuild the whole defense.

Spencer, Melton, Selvie, Hayden, Carter, Durant are all on 1-year deals
Carr and Claiborne are basically in prove-it-or-move-on years
McClain and Mincey are in deals you can move on from if you wanted to. Church's deal is also one you could move on from (salary-cap wise) if you wanted to.
Lee and Matt Johnson can't stay healthy for crap.

So basically, the next HC has a defense of Demarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford, DeVonte Holloman, Anthony Hitchens, JJ Wilcox, and Orlando Scandrick. YIKES.

Assuming they go out and hire a competent HC, the team can be built in 2 years. Indy, New Orleans, Seattle, SF and Denver have all done it. Tampa, Carolina and Houston are probably on the way.

It's really only Dallas, San Diego, Buffalo, Cleveland and Oakland that are perpetually in this herp derp cycle of totally sucking. All of those franchises have shitty GMs and pretty bad coaches with Dallas's coach being the worst in the league by far. At least a new coach would solve 50% of that issue. It's hard to feel bad when we don't have a chance to begin with anyway.
