He made a nice open field tackle in the San Diego game. One on one with the RB in the open field, he broke down and just popped the guy.

i dont know how anyone could tell anything good or bad about coale......we barely saw him and so did they....
his problem I think is that he offered nothing on special teams....
This is all short term stuff....We dont know how good or bad he will be and I honestly cant say he is either from the two games.

Coale got some reps the last two preseason games...made a nice one handed catch last night, but otherwise didnt look like anything "special"...maybe he develops, maybe he doesnt
Sczerba looks like a decent 3rd TE candidate (somewhere, amybe not here) and if he stays healthy (which was his issue at Penn St) he could end up being a decent #2 guy down the road.

Szcerba is being kept because he already is a great blocker who surprised the coaches in offseason work with his ability to run and catch the football.

yep. Do you trust him to do that against regulars in important situations?
he scares me.....I imagine a guy like lemon gets cut because they need matt johnson to be good so bad that they have to hang on to him even though he has never even participated all offseason.
silva knows the defense and has been here awhile.....He just scares me though.

yeah I think that is it also....They knew he could block pretty well but he runs routes pretty well and catches the ball ok.
plus he has a mean streak which probably is nice on the line.....but we still dont know if he made it or not.

I wonder if your opinion would be different had mcgee thrown him the ball last sat night. he was wide open for a walk 55 yard touchdown and mcgee ran right and then out of bounds.....missed him on a intermediate cross also......

Mike Fisher saying McGee probably is cut. Someone on the zone mentioned that he exited the Cowboy's facility pretty quickly from who knows what last night.

makes sense, he knew it was coming.
on the first special edition of the year back in july stephen jones said he didnt take the orton signing to well and was down about it all offseason.

How many guys get wide open in 4th preseason games for tds vs other teams scrubs?
I liked Coale, he may end up being a quality player...he just isnt worth losing any sleep over IMO...Harris and Beasley both played betetr than he did (and are healthy) and they played against the other teams better players. Ogletree looked far better than anyone expected. Austin and Bryant were always locks. There just isnt much space for him. He had to play and had to play well.
Hopefully we can sneak him through waivers and onto the PS.
