#3 wideout problem settled let's swoop in before seattle gets him

Terrell Owens has always been a physical marvel.

Owens
The veteran receiver, listed at 6-foot-3 and 224 pounds, added to his legend Monday by running 40 yards in less than 4.5 seconds at age 38 and following surgery to repair a torn ACL.

It's no wonder, then, that the Seahawks are expected to sign Owens, as ESPN's Ed Werder reported.

Owens' reputation as a high-maintenance, somewhat unstable force precedes him. It raises legitimate questions about the wisdom of adding him to a locker room filled with quite a few young players and no established starting quarterback.

But if Owens can play at a high level -- and he should be motivated after encountering financial difficulties -- he can help a team.

More on this as the day progresses.

Doctor doesn't approve Mike Jenkins to practice
August, 6, 2012
Aug 69:04PM CTBy Calvin Watkins | ESPNDallas.com Recommend1Tweet18Comments0EmailPrintOXNARD, Calif. -- Dallas Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins wasn't approved by Dr. James Andrews to resume contact in practice, according to a source.

Jenkins, who underwent shoulder surgery, visited Dr. Andrews in Pensacola, Fla., on Monday.

Jenkins will continue his rehab work and conditioning until he is cleared. The Cowboys wanted Dr. Andrews to clear Jenkins first because he performed the surgery on the cornerback. If Jenkins had been approved by Dr. Andrews, Jenkins was then going to be seen by the Cowboys' doctors to see if he could be cleared to practice.

At the start of training camp, coach Jason Garrett said Jenkins could return to practice by the end of the preseason. But now it's uncertain when Jenkins will return.

The position is already missing first-round draft pick Morris Claiborne, who is out with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Orlando Scandrick, the starter alongside Brandon Carr, twisted his ankle during Monday's practice, but finished without any issues. Teddy Williams, who received some second-team snaps in practice, was dinged during Saturday's practice and isn't available.

The Cowboys were irked Jenkins didn't rehab his shoulder in Dallas. Jenkins instead rehabbed in Florida and missed the voluntary offseason workouts.

Jenkins said he can do everything with his shoulder, and Garrett said the corner is getting his strength and range of motion back.

No we wouldn't. Arkin has been just as bad as Costa at Center.

the same argument could be made on why you think he would work there.

Bc costa i that bad...and based on what I'm hearing in TC...arkin has been very solid in pass pro. Now if we had an avg starter at center idmwait longer to make such a claim..but costa is that bad

Agreed that Costa has no business starting let alone be your planned starter. Arkin seems to have made a comeback from what just a few months ago looked like another middle round bust by us.
