Players can only overcome coaching ineptitude for so long. Part of me wish we would lose so that hopefully it gets Garrett tha tmuch closer to being forced out.

Apparently Mike Holmgren made the rounds at Cowboys' Stadium today. Talked to Jerry Jones pre-game on the middle of the field.

All of me wished it. For the first time in my life.

You know something... first I want to say that I'm glad that Wade got fired. However, I don't like the way he was sandbagged by Garrett. But what I like about Wade getting fired is that NOW we can see the PROBLEM. Wade as a problem, but we are now seeing that the problem in terms of lack of discipline, lack of focus, lack of key execution, in every facet of the game... it's all on Garrett.

You cannot not tell me that this team is a more disciplined team than what it was under Wade.
You cannot not tell me that this team is a more focused team than what it was under Wade.

Wade could be blamed for a lot of things that were wrong with this team under him, but the constant has always been Garrett.

I want to win next week, because I hate the Redskins. But if I knew that a loss to the Redskins would set it up for Garrett to be gone, and Sean Payton to come here... I would go right out this instant and buy myself a Redskins' jersey, Redskins' face paint, a tomahawk, feathers, a pig snout, a dress, a ladies hat, you name it, and I would wear it proudly and cheer madly and squeal like a pig bitch for the Redskins. That's where I am at right now.

I would rather LOSE to the Redskins at home and on the road if it means that Garrett would be gone and we get Payton.

Would be another way for Garrett to screw us and this team, to just simply win enough games to keep his job. We're spinning our wheels here and treading water. I'm kind og envious of the Eagles, because Reid is going to be gone.

I was looking over the coaching landscape and where Payton could potentially land, I started with the NFC East. It would make total sense for Payton to return back to the Cowboys, the pieces are there. With the exception of QB and TE---just a notch below Brees and Graham, AND the Oline, I think the offense---with Murray in the lineup, is as good as the Saints' team that Payton coached. If Sean Lee is in the lineup, and we were to switch abck to the 4-3, I think the defense would be better than what Payton had in NO.

Eagles. This team is a mess, and I couldn't see Payton going there. Foles does not seem to be the kind og QB for Payton.

Redskins. I think even if they have a losing seasons, Shanahan will get one more crack at it. He has a rookie QB, and next year would be the final year of his contract. I couldn't see Payton going to the Redskins in that they are lacking talent overall, and it doesn't help that for the next two years, that they will be without two 1st round draft picks.

The NFC North is safe.

The NFC West appears to be safe.

The NFC South.

Saints: despite what they say about Payton will return, I can't see it. After this mess, I think the league would probably recommend a change of environment for Payton---a chance for him to put all the mess behind him and start fresh with another team.

Panthers: I can see the Panthers pursuing Payton, just to try and stick it to the Saints, their divisional rival, but Newton is going to be a coach-killer.

Onto the AFC.

AFC East. I can see Payton being pursued by both Buffalo and New York.

AFC North. I think the HCs are safe in this division.

AFC South. HCs are safe.

AFC West. This concerns me. I don't see Payton going to the Raiders, but I can very well see him going to the Chargers. Turner's gone. He's the Andy Reid of the Chargers. Payton would be out of the NFC and truly start over.

So basically, only the Cowboys and Chargers makes sense for Payton.

I don’t root against the Cowboys. Just against my nature as a fan. It assumes that in losing things will get better. Things actually could get worse.

That said. The Cowboys didn’t look ready to play. I think that falls on Garrett. The Cowboys offensive line is so bad i am not sure a word has been invented to describe how bad they are.

Relived with the win. A loss probably would have been a turning point towards a full scale melt down. This group of Cowboys have alot of fight in them. Alot of shit goes wrong but they keep trying. Have to give them credit, even tho it’s self inflicted.

Dez put on his big boy pants today. Harris has to get on the field more.

Yeah and I have never agreed so much. Or even twice in a row for that matter.

Garrett has exponentially superior players than what Campo has ever had, and yet Garrett may very well finish with the same or slightly better record, than Campo. Take a look at the team Campo had and yet he still managed to get 5 wins at each of his three seasons. He had Quincy Carter, Troy Hambrick for fuck sakes.

It used to be against my nature as well, but it just shows the level of disgust I have for Garrett. And yes, I do so in assuming that things will get better by losing, it's calle dlooking at the big picture.

Could things get worse...? YES. Will things get worse...? YES. Especially if Garrett remains. So I'm willing to risk and cheer for us to LOSE right now, if knowing that we could get Payton, and I seriously doubt things would be and/or get any worse with Payton at the helm.

16 seconds left in regulation... and in the red zone... and we still get a delay of game.

Phillips grabbed Cribb's hair. Now I know that play cannot be challenged or reviewed, but I would have liked to have seen Garrett in the refs ear and explaining the rule to him, providing that the genius knew the rule.

Interesting as to how plays that would benefit the Cowboys are not reviewed---like Phillips grabbing Cribb's hair, but a play that would seemingly work against the Cowboys are reviewed---like Austin's catch.

Brown/black hair against a brown jersey meant it was hard to see. In any event, the refs absolutely slaughtered Cleveland today (most times justifiably).
