What are some of these teams thinking with their playcalling today?

Carolina called 13 runs vs 36 passes in a close game in bad weather

The Aints called 10 runs all game long (versus 54 passes)

Chris Johnson...11 carries, 4 yds....totally hosed that franchise with that holdout and contract extension he got

Brandon Weedon put up a 5.1 QB rating today and almost single handedly lost the game for the Browns

SF, very impressive display of physical football again...look good in their front 7 and their OL

GB...still cant play defense, still cant run the ball

Not sure what to think of Washington...I didnt watch all their game, but the bits and pieces I did watch I came away thinking what I saw was more an example of how awful New Orleans was, rather than "good" football by Washington...still its a road win, props for them

Andrew Luck- welcome to its not preseason anymore

Chan Gailey, your retirement party is just around the corner

Skin's worked the Aints all day long in all phases...

They should have beaten the Saints the last time they faced them but luck took over...The Saints matchup bad against the Skins.

I really wanted McGahee in that 2003 draft before he destroyed his knee vs OSU.

After that, I didn't really have a preference who we took.

Win or lose today, Seattle does look tough. The rookie QB shows decent poise.

If the Cowboys play the Seahawks like they did the Giants, sans the penalties... they should win the game. Seattle's front seven is not on par with the Giants, however, their secondary is much better---especially with having the best safety tandem in the league.

2012 Wk 2 thread. Cowboys @ Seahawks

@espn_nfcwest
Russell Okung knee injury. Walking very slowly. Richard Sherman in walking boot.

‏@Liz_Mathews
Per Carroll LT Russell Okung twisted his knee, WR Doug Baldwin had the wind knocked out of him.

If Okung isn't a go next week.... it'll certainly help our pass rush, obviously.

I wish they'd won today. Now they'll be even more determined not to start 0-2.

I was kinda thinking the same but F them 0-2 it shall be.

I don't think they'd be any less determined to win even if they won against the Cardinals, because for one, it's the home opener for them... and had they won, they'd be riding that. So maybe it's better thant they did lose.

What a difference one QB makes.

True but the Skins D was the biggest difference in this game....

If Brees would have started off hot I'm not sure if they would have started off Bob with the all the easy passes...

Could have been a different game.

I'm not convinced he is an accurate passer out of the spread yet.

Saints always had trouble with the Redskins though for some reason, especially at home. But I think that any team with at least an average to above average defense would give the Redskins problems. Saints don't have a pass rush. And despite that, the game was far from over, the Saints almost mounted a comeback.
