idk how I can make it any more clear.

My position always has been : lets wait and see on this Oline before we say either way. Let's see Smith-Living-?-Bdeaux-Free out there before killing them and the FO.

Preseason geniuses weren't having any of that wait and see bull. No, they had seen Arkin and Dockery on the field and determined that this was further evidence of our front office 'ignoring the offensive line' and being incompetent rubes.

Now they want to wait and see.

How convenient.

I've been down on the oline forever. Last night didn't change my mind at all.

I'm not saying they can't get better by playing together.

Romo shouldn't have to break tackles and juke defenders in order to get a pass off. Murray's epic run made the line look a lot better than they were last night.

Id say a C grade would be extremely generous for the line last night.

The best part was when he turned and yelled at the Giants sideline

That music almost ruins the whole moment...

Gotta see it against a good front 7 first

sp's take is we ("realists") overreacted in the off-season and said we didn't do enough to fix the o line.

now sp is saying we won 1 game and that's proof the OL is awesome and the front office is vindicated.

and we overreacted?

I agree...

Murray shouldn't have to break tackles in the backfield, or Romo for that matter, on every other play.

The OLine did NOT impress me last night. Given they were going against a great Giants DLine and the fact that they haven't had time to gel I will be a little forgiving... For now.

I wanna see them in 5 or 6 weeks from now. By then they should have it together.

Was looking forward to 10 days of fan happiness and unity, but SP is insufferable after just day 1 and we only have 4 other people who post.

Things are bad when you'd rather have dbair share his thoughts again.

I would rather listen to Theebs and dblair talk about cowboy history than read any more or sp's nonsense

I think the OL is definitely better

The interior specifically. MUCH BETTER

Smith will get better. For sure. Free....prolly not

I'm more worried about our pass rush. I thought our rush was weak

Eli does it different than Romo but he has great pocket presence too. We got a push up the middle for seemingly the first time in ages, and pressure off the edge. Eli had nowhere to go alot of times.

The biggest thing that everyone glosses over is how smart the move to get Claiborne now appears to be. We can pretty much lock down the secondary, again bring the so-so pass-rush, with Ware accounting for nearly 40% of the sack totals, and still get it done on D. Then add in the fact that Sean Lee and Bruce Carter are both fast enough to get proper depths on their drops and average safety play doesn't even come into account that much.

Funny thing is, is that we defended Eli Manning basically the same way teams ultimately ended up defending Quincy Carter, sitting back in the deep, cover-2 and daring Eli to beat us with the short, passing game and he couldn't. So this D actually turned Eli Manning into a near Quincy Carter clone lol

I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather have a defense than can close out games rather than a solid OG.
