I dont think this was ever explained either. He should be suspended for next weeks game, but something tells me he wont be.
I think Collinsworth was right, that throwing an intentional punch is grounds for immediate heave-ho from the game. They obviously saw him throw the punch, otherwise they wouldnt have thrown the flag. There was nothing else going on there that could have been flagged.

I have a feeling we will see the packers just run over people until about thanksgiving. Then much like the giants and saints and steelers in the past few years they will slip just enough late that someone will get them late.
I just pray that it won't be the eagles....the giants looked unbeatable early in 08 and there running game and
Pass rush was fantastic....then it slipped a bit, burress got hurt and the eagles knocked them out.

amazing how that happens isnt it.
I have recordings of that happening I think it was 4 or 5 times in other games last year. Tuck and osi did it...no call, the chiefs kicker and a lineman did it no call....I cant remember the others...I started to make a video about it last year and then I just screw it and never bothered with it....
that call on columbo was just dumb and the fact that it has never been called before or since is insane.
The packers got away with a ridiculous pass interference last night by collins in the endzone, then woodson punched david thomas and nothing...
thats what happens I guess when people are not always talking about you.

The thing is, and I know I normally come across as a raging pessimist most of the time, but I don't think we are that far off from Green Bay. I think we are a few moves away from being that kind of team. My issue is that we ignore obvious (IMO) holes.
Green Bay has a talented QB that makes quick decisions, so do we.
Green Bay has some talented WR's and TE, so do we (although their #3 WR is probably better than ours).
Green Bay has a top pass rusher, we have a better one.
Green Bay has a talented, aggressive Defensive Coordinator, so do we.
Green Bay has a no nonsense, calm-demeanored Head Coach, so do we.
They have us at OL, NT, Secondary, and overall depth and the main reason is they have a talented General Manager. It's not Jerry bashing, it's just how I see it.

- I think Romo needs to pu 10% more zip on the ball to help with YAC. We will be throwing shorter passes this season.

Their secondary is sick. Williams, Woodson, Shields are all better than any of our corners and Nick Collins is the best safety in the game if Ed Reed isnt healthy.

I still havent figured out if I want to watch the Red zone channel or just settle in to a nice Bal/Pit and Stl./Philly groove. I feel like with the red zone channel you lose the narrative of a game and are just watching highlights . I think its best if you dont have a clear go-to game.

They were 1 yard away from basically tying it in their building. And on opening night where the defending champs never lose. If they had 2 times outs instead of 1 they have 40 more seconds(4 downs) there to play around with.
