I doubt you'd find a soul who bets on the NFL who had SF and the NYG pegged for the NFC Championship back in August. hell most people wouldnt have even had them in the playoffs.

We are a team right now that can't cover anyone, or give Romo a simple pocket. Among other things. So yeah, I'd say we're miles away from competing for a championship.

That's unless everything falls into place regarding free agency and the draft in a couple of months, but when was the last time both of them ended up being true?

The Giants and Pats barely beat us. I wouldnt say any of those teams are "far" superior to us, or anyone else. We need to make some upgrades for sure, but they are not eons ahead of us.

The Giants won that SB after Plax shot himself, he didn't play in the postseason. They also won that year after Shockey got hurt.

All I know is when that pass was made I jumped up and had fern in my face. I couldn't tell you who it was.
