Great year overall, but he doesnt get absolved of some of his mistakes either. He had a major hand in a couple of these losses.

The defense was the biggest problem with the team, but at some time or another you can point at any number of areas and players and say they hurt us.

Keep pumping...but 8-8 doesn't constitute a great year.

What does this team need more? A pouncey type, a p. Peterson type, or an aldon smith

(just realized we could totally fucking whiff)

I just don't think there is a corner in Peterson's class this year. I also don't think an Aldon Smith-level pass rusher will be available around pick 14 this year.

Ingram is a big play maker. Were dying for that.

Agree I'd wait on corner, nothing special. I even kind of want to take 3 rushers and blockers first.

I think I'd go

Ingram
Konz or Glenn
Cb

There could be, need to see who all commits to the draft. Only a couple weeks away for that.

That said, the defense was so bad this year that I might consider using alot of free agent dollars trying to acquire 2 or 3 good solid starters on that side, then be in position to draft 1 or 2 really good OL early that might be plug and play ready.

There isn't. Claiborne is good, will go much higher than 14th, and is nowhere near the talent Peterson is. This draft is deep at OL and WR. There are also a lot of first round CB's but again, nowhere near Patrick Peterson. I'm not seeing a lot of elite pass rushers, especially with Jarvis Jones returning to Georgia.

More reason to do what I said then, and throw free agent $$$ at players who can come in and make a significant impact from day one on defense, then rely on the draft to pump up the OL. Hopefully we hit on at least one of the guys currently here too.

Listening to what Stephen Jones said the other day, sounds like they are already looking at things that way. At least in terms of defensive help via free agency.

Ew member when I said scandrick is pretty good about sticking to his man but isn't a starter bc he doesn't track the ball and will lose out on jump balls

NDSU is 6 minutes away from beating Sam Houston St for the Div 1 FCS championship.

There's an Ax Man marathon on the History Channel. This is more interesting than Bengals vs Texans.

But really... what does men cutting tree's down have to do with History?
