2011 Season Game Threads Mega-Merge

This next offseason, my goal is to help you see the light with this team.

I see it. Its a process. Wade set the team back some and it will take a year or two to fix it.

We need some additions on both sides of the ball and a real offseason to work the team. Now that this year is finalyl over, I can go on to being optimistic about next year.

Great year overall, but he doesnt get absolved of some of his mistakes either. He had a major hand in a couple of these losses.

The defense was the biggest problem with the team, but at some time or another you can point at any number of areas and players and say they hurt us.

Two of those losses were directly on Romo.

Two more losses were directly on Garrett.

And now two more losses are on Rob and the defense.

Just take one lsos for each of those scenarios, and it's 11-5.

Need 1 or 2 new interior OL

Need a 2nd pass rusher opp Ware

Need replacements for Newman and Elam

Need more CB depth to replace the likes of Ball and Walker

Need another quality DL.

Get rid of past their prime guys like James, Brooking, Coleman & Newman

That guy we drafted in the 2nd rd could be a key player for our defense next year and beyond. The draft isnt just about the current year. Anybody that looks at it that way is missing the boat.

We had to sit out free agency last year. That wont be the case this year.

Will it matter if we have a good draft and be aggressive in free agency? Can you admit that there is a fundamental flaw with the makeup of this team? THIS TEAM QUITS WHEN IT GETS SOCK IN THE MOUTH! And then you have an HC that is more engulfed in the Xs and Os aspect of the team rather than trying to change the culture of the team that is in serious need of changing. HE CANNOT DO BOTH.

DeCastro.

I think we have the 14th pick. Might be in prime position for him, or adding a really quality front 7 player on defense.

If they could get the right guys on defense, they might be able to manuever to get DeCastro and somebody like Konz in April. Move Tyron to LT and Free to RT, then hope that one of the guys (Arkin, Nagy or Kowalski) could assume the fulltime role at one G spot and our would be set for years to come.

The line is a sick mess, on both sides of the ball.

If I were in charge, I'd look for 3 interior offensive lineman. Free is a lost cause. His contract dictates that he's here a few more years, but I'd be looking for his replacement pronto.

We need no less than 7 capable new starters on defense.

A new head coach would be nice. The one we have is an empty pair of warm-ups.

New DC.

New ST coach(please hire the idiot, Jacksonville.

Retire, Jerry, you idiot. And don't leave the keys to your fat-faced son and your nephew.

Garrett didnt run the team. he didnt run the meetings or the practices. Bad habits start there and thats where Wade set us back. It will take time to undo that and get rid of guys who grew comfortable in that enviornment. Get new blood at more positions.
