This has nothing to do with beaing "easy" in blaming Romo. Run the ball more... how much more? Run the ball the entire second half? No passes at all, right? Running the ball would not have eliminated Romo from making bad decision, which is the crux of this all. How many yards did we average per carry in that game? Do you think it's feasible we run and then end up with 3 and outs in short order and thereby allow the Lions to chip away at the lead?
Reign Romo in... as in benching him? In hindsight, I would be for that. But here's the problem. You keep running the ball and getting three and outs, and allowing the Lions to score, eventually, you're going to have to pass to maintain the lead.
This all comes down to Romo's bad decision-making. That's why we lost. Not because we didn't run the ball enough.
