The defense gets no blame for the 6 points they gave up due to a short field, but the 3 long TD drives are 100% on them. 3rd down effiency was great and so was the run defense, but we allowed 21-29 (73%) passing with 9 yards per attempt.

When the offense continues to go 3 and out and the defense barely can get any rest, that shit happens.

But I cannot buy into all of , Sheik, because we half-ass it on offense ofr much of the game and then with 5 minutes left, we want to play with a sense of urgency. So who does that fall on?

I've never understood that crap: hang around and play from behind with a team l0ng enough until the last 5 minutes and then decide to wqant to kick it inot gear. TWICE IN A ROW THIS HASHAPPEND AND LOOK AT THE RESULTS.

We should be coasting at the end, instead of clawing back.

Say wghat you want Sheik, but I've seen OCs dod much more with far less. The Bears had a worse Oline than what we did---they even lost their fucking LT, and they were still able to do more. We got old Oline men and an old OL coach.

Yeah. I cannot disagree to a point. But Garrett often outthinks himself. We be moving the ball down the field and he will call somke stupid play and stall the drive. He gets away from plays that actually works and keeps at the plays that does not. Everybody knows in that formation with Choice in, that they are runnign the Razorback.

I hate that play. I can think of one time that play has worked in the whole time it's been used by the Cowboys. You look around the league at teams that are running that formation, most teams have a homerun hitter in that position, not some slow scrub. I am over Choice. He's a dime a dozen back. I guess he's decent depth, but he isn't starting on any team, imo.

That is a valid point. The Bears played to win and we played to not lose. That was the difference today.

Gosh, I will say that I am as impressed with our QB as I have ever been. Romo may have 2 ints on his stat line today, but both came off tipped balls, tipped balls that routinely hit the ground when the shoe is on the other foot. This guy has grown a ton over the last two years.

Put a line in front of him that can run block and help balance things out and he is golden. Very smart and driven. The makes himself better every offseason.

They need to get rid of the entire Oline with the exception of Free.

What sense does it make to keep Gurode? He's getting old, he's already stupid, and then on top of that he's lazy and overpaid. We can dump his contract after this season.
What sense does it make to keep Davis? See above.
What sense does it make to keep Kosier? He's old and now injury-proned.
What sense does it make to keep Colombo? See above and he's also a penalty machine.

I'd rather see Costa at Center than Gurode right now.

You want to get better Oline play and reduce penalties? Get younger and SMARTER players in here. Get these old guys out becuase they are a bad influence: they are lazy and overpaid.

I would say Romo, Ware, Spencer, Austin, Bryant and even Williams were all brilliant today. Others had good games, but those guys stuck out today, imo.

It's not those. There were times that he rushed his passes, when he had solid protection. By the time the ball is hiked, he's already throwing the ball before the play has had a chance to develop. But I agree with you.
