Of course why should anyone trust "Paul" about anything? A man who never met Jesus, clashed with the Apostle Peter, and whose entire ministry was based on the idea that he was temporarily "blinded" by the Lord on a road trip? And whose writings wouldn't be canon if the effing Catholic Church didn't decide they were?
You got a twisted view of history, son.
The Catholic Church didn't decide anything; Paul's epistles were used long before Romes decision to play let's make a deal with religion. If they had their way, and they did before the advent of the printing press, no one would have a bible but the 'pontiff'. Church history doesn't start in 312 and Christianity isn't the Hellenized nonsense that Westerners know it to be.
