    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

If they had just gotten one player in 1989 and it was Aikman, that was the biggest franchise altering move they could make. The Herschel trade was huge no doubt, but we don't win 3 titles without Aikman and we sure as well don't win 3 titles with Steve Walsh in his place. The 1989 draft ended...

    Tony Romo trade/future speculation thread

Unless Prescott falters badly, this has exactly zero chance of happening

    Romo speaks to media

Johnny Walker GM was suggesting last week that he thought Romo might make a good offensive coordinator. Numerous people said the same thing about Jason Garrett back in the mid to late 90's too, including a HOF QB and the drunk owner. That said, whatever the coaches are doing with Prescott...

Sources: LB McClain suspended another year

He was moved off NFI, I think they have 3 week exemption where he can practice (which reportedly isn't going to happen) After the exemption period they either have to move him to 53 or IR.

Grading the Cowboys' win: Astounding! Best coaching staff since Jimmy Johnson

We are in agreement. Have no clue what they see in this guy right now.

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

We know in 1990 Jimmy highly coveted LB's Junior Seau, James Francis and Lamar Lathon. I think its a virtual lock he'd have picked Thomas over Deion in 1989.

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

Guess it might have depended on who they'd have had to pick from. Rounds were only 14 picks long in 1964. Two QB's were taken right after we picked 4th, if Staubach would have been available without the service commitment I'm sure he easily goes to Detroit (5th) or LA Rams (7th) at the latest...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

I doubt we'd have been dominant team we became, let alone a 3 time Champion without Aikman. There was no other QB anywhere near his caliber available. I doubt we'd have even been a yr over yr playoff team with Steve Walsh or Jeff George as QB

Sanders or Thomas almost assuredly. I don't know that anything was ever discussed about a what if thing, when Jimmy got here we already had the #1 overall pick secured and Landry and the Cowboys FO had already intended to take Aikman #1. Jimmy's only comment that I remember is basically there...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

I don't think there's much doubt he'd have been the 1st or 2nd pick that yr without a Naval commitment. he was possibly the greatest college football player of alltime at that point. Everyone knew he was an amazing talent. This wasn't some Tony Romo situation where nobody knew who he was or had...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

Huh? You mean you believe they "planned" to take Roger in the 10th rd? And that they knew nobody else would? WTF Again we got lucky with Prescott. It doesn't matter that we had other guys rated ahead of him or even tried to get into position to get someone else. Other teams could have taken...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

Sorry, but we got the best player in college football, one of the transcendent players of his time in the damn 10th round. I don't care if your rationale is "well they just took him because he was a good player who happened to be there". That's b/s, any of the other existing teams COULD have...

Its rare I agree with Doomsdumb about anything, but he has a point about this. Romo didnt look overly thrilled yesterday. Maybe he didn't feel good. Maybe he's at the point where in his mind he knows its beyond over for him. Maybe he needed to take a big dump. But he definitely didn't seem to...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

LOL Wat? How can you argue there wasn't a certain degree of luck in getting Roger Staubach in the 10th rd? How can you argue that we (the franchise) didn't get pretty damn lucky that a 2 win Green Bay team beat a .500 Phoenix Cardinals team on the road to LOSE the rights to the #1 overall...

    2016 NFL Week #11: Baltimore Ravens (5-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (8-1)

I think this is what they were looking for. They were probably wanting him to share his opinion on Prescott's game, especially after struggling early and then being sensations the last 2+ quarters. Kinda surprises me he didn't say anything and just bailed.
