Weren't there reports last TC about the great chemistry between Dak and Dez? And how Dez was schooling the young corners?

I'm starting to get that feeling like this year may be a train wreck.

honestly dont remember it being hyped that way, but i do remember them saying that dez was winning in 1v1s

A little disconcerting seeing as how they made a point to put out the article about how he spent all off season working on his footwork to improve accuracy.

They posted his running total of attempts/completions from practice this yr compared to the same time last yr, and his in-practice accuracy is in fact up.

I'm sure someone will say that's only due to dumpoffs or checkdowns (which may or may not be true, they didn't chart the distances of the passes thrown in this article) but the accuracy itself is actually better.

I remember them talking about what a focus it was, to get more on the same page etc etc

But I don't recall anyone ever saying it was actually "done"

Something the regular season proved.

After battling injuries for most of the past two seasons, it looks like Dez Bryant is healthy again.

The Cowboys wide receiver, who only caught 50 passes last season, is starting to look like someone who's going to have a bounce-back year in 2017.

Bryant has been one of the big stars of training camp doing things that we regularly saw him do the last time he was completely healthy in 2014. For one, he's taking guys to school. Bryant has spent most of training camp terrorizing Cowboys defensive backs.

Of course, this was before he forgot how to run routes so take it for what it's worth......

Did he ever know how to run routes?

Point being he knew them well enough to dominate training camp. I'm not defending Dez. Just pointing out that there may be some other issues at play. Time will tell.

Every QB needs a go to WR and TE. Meredith had Hayes and Norman , Staubach had Pearson and Dupree, White had Hill and Cosbie, Aikman had Irvin and Novacek, Romo had Dez/TO and Witten.

Do you really think the Cowboys personnel department can't figure it out for Dak after all of these years? Dak will have a pro bowl TE and WR by Christmas. If not, Cowboys will have a top 10 draft pick, Jason Garrett will be fired, and Cowboys fans will be like the Saints fans in the 70's..."Wait till Next Year!"

Spot on. Maybe one of the WR's will step up but I find it concerning that we lack a clear #1 receiver and a clear starting TE. You can make due with a second rate TE if you have a receiver that defenses will need to be concerned with but, at this point, we lack both.

It's a bunch of unproven guys. Doesn't mean that none of them are capable of stepping up, they just don't have the track record (yet)

They can't. Only the QB can figure out who he trusts and can rely on as go-to guys. He's the chef but he doesn't get to pick the ingredients.

I think it's likely he had at least a little say where it came to Dez, and I think we know which way he voted.

Sounds like good news.
