C'mon. Sean Lee might be the only Cowboy to start on that defense. Their D shut down a high-powered Dallas offense with a superb running game and perhaps the finest o-line in the league, whereas our defense only had to counter a middling offense with no running game and an adequate o-line at best.

Oh C'mon yourself old man.

Maliek Collins could definitely start for them. Their LB corp is not any better than ours is. I think Byron Jones is more talented than Darian Thompson.

I guess while you think only Lee could start for them defensively (which I disagree with) I could say they legitimately have 1 offensive guy who'd start for us. And no specialists on their ST would start here either.

We're gonna win the division again this year whether you like it or not!

The Cowboys have never had consecutive winning seasons under Garrett, I don't see that changing. I'd go with the Giants. They're not a great teasm, but they're gritty and could do enough.

Hopefully they shut everyone out then, because they aint gonna be scoring much.

Chris Simms on PFT Live this morning said if OBJ gets hurt the Giants won't be scoring any, so that is good news for the Cowboys.

That is because he had only had 1 full winning season as a HC (he went 5-3 as an interim coach but does that count?) prior to last year. Barring very serious injury to Dak, the Cowboys will be fine.

He's actually had two (plus the half season)

Of course Garrett apologists will claim "he's only had one losing season"

I really think it's our division to lose.
If Gingercoach starts admiring his COY award too much, he'll gameplan us right the fuck to .500 or worse.
If we can manage to get to the bye week without imploding, barring injuries, we'll be ok.
No doubt in my mind those first 5 or 6 games make or break this season.

Oh C'mon yourself old man.

we're the same age, gramps

Maliek Collins could definitely start for them.

Collins is a promising, try-hard rotation guy, but no, he's not starting over mountainous Snacks Harrison.

Their LB corp is not any better than ours is.

They don't have anyone as good as Lee but as a group they're superior.

I think Byron Jones is more talented than Darian Thompson.

Talented. Still waiting to see it.

Was only referencing the respective defenses. Don't change the subject.

We're gonna win the division again this year whether you like it or not!

The Giant offense will provide just enough of a running game to help their stellar defense win the East. I will tolerate no more insolence from you on this topic.

You do know what CONSECUTIVE mean? BACK TO BACK. WTF...? He's been HC for 6 years and he has not had back to back winning seasons. I don't expect that to change.

As I said prior to last year he only had 1 full winning season. Saying "he hasn't had back to back winning seasons" acts like he has had a bunch of winning seasons and then slumps. The Cowboys were 8-8 then 12-4 then 4-12 prior to last season.

If anyone wins this division besides Dallas I think it will be the Eagles. If their LT can stay on the field they have a solid OL. They have a good run game and added a pretty good WR in Jeffries (also if he can stay on the field). That should really help Wentz. Their defense isn't elite but it's better than the Cowboys.

Highly doubtful

They have a good run game

That's looking more iffy by the day. Depending on which report you hear, Blount is either going to be great or on the verge of getting cut.

Their defense isn't elite but it's better than the Cowboys.

Right now in the preseason (per footballdm.com) Dallas D is allowing 16.7 points and 2877 yards per game. Eagles are allowing 20 points and 334.5 yards a game. Not looking elite or better at this point.

From watching all the other three teams... I may have to amend my pick. It would not surprise me for the Cowboys to win the division again by default. The other three teams... the NFC East takes a step back this year. You have fools of the other three teams thinking that the East will send three teams to the playoffs. What fools.

So yeah, the Cowboys will win. I want the Cowboys to miss the playoffs, because I want Garrett gone. But I often never get what I want, so that means the Cowboys are going to win, and we will be stuck with Garrett. We'll make the playoffs and go one and done AGAIN.

I'll give you the point that none of the three divisional opponents looked very good in their 'dress rehearsal' games.

I just got the feeling it's going to be one of those years where the Cowboys will try to give the division away, and none of the other three teams will take it. That's why I have the Cowboys winning by default.

Only three of the Boys’ 13 victories last year came versus teams that made the playoffs, and two of those teams (Detroit & NY) immediately lost in the first round.

You mean the Giants. The Redskins did not make the playoffs last year.
