Bad feeling about this week. The spread is only making my fears worse.


I really want to pick the Cowboys here because I'm not sure where they will get their next win until Cleveland with the Bengals, Packers, and Eagles up next.

The Dallas defense is going to have fits with Hyde. Other than that though, the Niners suck. The Cowboys have to find a way to generate some kind of pass rush. Even Gabbert can find the open guy if he's given all day.

When all is said and done though I thin Dallas will win. Their offense should be able to dominate the game again. They will get out early and force Gabbert to throw and he'll turn the ball over.

The 49ers are coming off two straight ass kickings which has me somewhat worried that they are hungry, but they still suck. As long as Dak keeps playing as well as he is I will take Dallas over the shitty teams.

If this game was in Dallas, I would probably pick the Niners. But the Cowboys seem to play better on the road, so I'll go with them.

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers (+2.5, 46)

Dallas is heading to San Francisco and it seems the 49ers’ success of Week 1 has worn off quickly. Conversely, the Cowboys have tallied twice in the win column since their close call versus the Giants, otherwise they would be undefeated heading into this one.

The opening line of Dallas -3 hasn’t budged and if I were a Nevada bookmaker filling out the half-point parlay card numbers for this weekend, I’d be all over posting a -3.5 over a -2.5 but I’ll put my reputation on the line that no one can find two sportsbooks who will do that in the entire state.

The Cowboys offense has been clicking with point totals rising every week – duly noting the possible knee injury to Dez Bryant as we make these observations. Additionally, the San Francisco defense has been horrendous the past two games allowing a total of 83 points to score after an season-opening shutout. While the Niners will have their backers, particularly up in the Reno-Tahoe area, the money is going to be all over Dallas.

The spread will have no effect on the final score in my opinion. I also think this is a more important game for Dallas here on the road than the 49ers, who will be in a year-long funk throughout. Dallas, like Denver and Detroit, is the better team this week and that’s the edge we have.

Sounds like decent chance we'll be without Romo, Dez and Tyron Smith, arguably the three best players on the team.

The Niners played really well opening night but have stunk the past two games, but I do think they have a good deal of young talent on defense. With what we're missing on O plus our defensive shortcomings unfortunately I think the Niners will win.

I'll take the Cowboys. I'll also go out on a limb and say we get 3 sacks. 1 from T. Crawford and 1 from R. Davis.
