The Cowboys have snapped some losing streaks in the recent past. The 4 game losing streak to the Ravens was ended last year, and the 3 game skid the the Gnats last week. Its time to end the current longest losing streak. Dallas hasn't beaten Denver since the Aikman, Irvin, Emmitt days. 5 in a row, though the last few have been winnable. Romo pulling an ultimate choke job to ruin what would have been the greatest game in Cowboys QB history via the late, game costing pick deep in our own territory to set up the gimme game winning FG for the Broncos... uggghhh... still makes me simultaneously pissed off and sick to my stomach.

Cowboys 27 Broncos 23

Edit to add: The above mentioned Romo choke game to Denver is a microcosm of Romo's entire career. Years from now, when people ask about Romo, just show them that game.

You are aware that romo stepped on Tyron's ankle while throwing, so really it is on Smith for getting driven back so badly.

Was that the pick he threw into 4 defensive guys?

If so, I don't see how Smith's ankle had anything to do with Romo's stupidity

THE moment even the most ardent Romosexuals had to know, even if it was just deep inside, that this clown wasn't ever going to take us anywhere. What the FUCK did he think he was doing?

the moral of the story is never throw to Escobar in a crucial situation

LOL

It wasn't even that crucial. And he had Murray standing there alone, nobody even on him, and he could have done major damage. Instead Romo choked and in his panic threw into triple coverage. It doesn't even matter who the intended receiver was. Ball was low and short anyway, Pablo never had a shot at it.

IMG_0109.jpgwho knows, Escobar may have got lit up by the defender on the right but the throw clearly is effected by stepping on the ankle.

Cowboys win.

LOL Romo apologists will never give up. Ball should never have been going Pablo's way. If only this, if only that.

You can pick a lot of games to criticize Romo. But you fools pick the one where he puts up 48 points? If anything, that game should have shown people what the guy had to put up with and what he had to overcome to win here. Dak could have never done what Romo did to keep his team in the game.

It's noted because that's the next opponent. The "criticism" is really only just pointing out that game sums up his whole career nicely. Because it does.

Typically put up big numbers and points, typically shit the bed too.

How can anyone claim the guy shit the bed after pasting 48 on Denver? His stat line was 25 of 36 for 506 yards with 5 TD's. His QB rating was 140. When your offense puts up 48 points and your QB throws for 500 yards and a 140 QB rating you should win every damn time.

Providing said quarterback doesn't shit the bed with a idiotic key pick inside his own 40 with 2 minutes left in the game. That's the very definition of shitting the bed.

Romo was like a cute puppy you loved and raised, watched grow and prosper, but dammit he never could shed that habit of shitting in your bed. You finally had to re-home him and you really don't miss him all that much now that he's gone.

It does not matter even if Romo had 10000 yards and 25 TDs in the game prior to that. Romo choked. Period. He threw a blatant pick at the EXACT worst possible time. The game was lost because Romo threw the pick. You don't get wins for having a great game except for one play. You get losses. You can blame the defense, but Denver's defense didn't stop shit either that whole game till Romo walked up and handed it to them. Funny, their QB didn't throw the late game costing pick in the same situation. That QB was also capable of getting to conference title games, and Super Bowls. Gee, I wonder if there is a correlation there?
