I'm taking exception with the term "genius" as it relates to marketing, he's not, never will be and stating this takes nothing away from his financial and business acumen.

Winning 3 Super Bowls revived the brand that, while tarnished, still had a mass of devotees with pent up demand for winning or who were relishing in their failures, none of which had anything to do with Jones.

Had they not won those 3 Super Bowls, no amount of marketing "genius" could have saved his ass and he would never have gotten his stajum if the team performed the way they have since he ran Jimmy off.

You could also make the case his business acumen is lacking because the team would be even more valuable and make more money if they actually won something but he's fine with this because being the center of attention is more valuable to him than the sacrifices required to actually win.

I'll always maintain the fans are here in spite of Jerry Jones, not because of him. Sure, there are some idiot jones acolytes but he'd be broke if that's whom he had to rely upon and I'd guess a good portion of those people only abide in order to get in his back pocket.

You make your money on the buy and Jerry had the business sense & ability to buy the team, right the financial ship and fix its financial woes but none of that has anything to do with being a so called "marketing genius"

No marketing genius would come in like a bull in a China shop talking out of his ass, firing Landry on a golf course, then a back to back Super Bowl winning head coach, etc, etc...he's done more damage to his personal brand than anyone could possibly imagine

Marketing genius my ass

THIS....thank Jimmy Johnson who had more to do than any marketing prowess. And the fact that stadium lease deals were so one sided in favor of the owners that made Jerry rich. I do give Jerry credit for seeing the financial opportunity in the TV deals and getting other teams to buy in while keeping his brand seperate in apparel sales.

Joe Flacco...old, makes league minimum with some incentives. Stats:

65.7% comp %, 7 tds, 1 int, 102.2 QB Rating, 8th in the league in number

60 mils per season Turd

63.7% comp %, 10 tds, 8 ints, 84.5 QB rating ranking him 24th in the league. He's also tied for 2nd in the league in interceptions

Prescott also ranks a miserable 23rd in QBR at 47.5, 1 of only 8 league starters with a QBR under 50

By comparison, Flacco has a QBR of 73.6, which would put him 5th in the league for that number.

FUCK YOU JONES

Jerry's not the only fool signing a quarterback w/a huge contract that's just average. After watching the Jags-Egals game today, Lawrence was horrific! He had the game. Down by 5 points on the 23 yard line after a PI call. With under a minute left & for the win, he tosses a pick in the endzone. Egals are now 6-2. And this "you're as good as your record says you are" is hogwash being the Egals have only defeated teams w/three wins or less.

Jags gave Lawrence $275 million & he's average at best when they gave him that money. The Jags could have paid a couple million & receive the same results. That contract will kill that franchise the next 5 years.

Yeah all these owners are guilty of it, but that doesnt make me feel any better about how stupid our guy is. Just because everyone else jumps off a cliff doesnt mean we should follow.

And to me the absolutely most moronic part of the Dak deal is WHEN he did it. There was no reason to resign him then at that point. They wasted the whole offseason and blamed the lack of a new deal for Prescott (and Lamb to an extent) as to why they couldnt afford to make any free agent deals. We didnt need the cap space just hours before opening kickoff and Prescott was in camp, practicing and was going to play out his last year.

Based on what we have seen so far since opening day, there would have been almost NO market for Prescott in 2025. And that fucktard owner made Prescott the highest paid player in the league.
