I've been a Cowboys fan for ~ 40 years. Even though I grew up in Central PA and was surrounded by Foreskins, E-Girls, Pissants and Squealers fan (they are the worst) I stuck with them and still 'stuck up for them' in the late '80's when they were one of worst teams in the league. I openly admitted I was still a Cowboys fan and never gave up hope they would return to glory eventually.

:paper

The elation I felt for the Cowboys from '1992-1995' can never be surpassed. Bandwagon jumping fans will never understand how it feels to have their team go from worst to first, because they have no allegiance for their team when the going gets bad.

:B&B:

Its either the Cowboys OR nobody and giving up on caring about the NFL for me.

:whistle

Via the Panthers' web site, I watched Cam Newton's latest press conference.

He's really trying to say the right thing and some of his ideas/beliefs are very fan friendly, but the guy does not speak well. At times it is difficult to understand what he's attempting to convey. Maybe he skipped too many English classes. In any event, it is unfortunate that he is currently unable to express himself better.

He should hire someone as a personal tutor. If nothing else, his problems with the English language could cost him millions over the course of his career.

I think he has a good message, but his delivery is awful.

It sucks that this forum is devoted to such a bad team. I like visiting this forum, but I'm quickly losing interest in the Cowboys.

After 40+ years of being a very avid fan, I'm closer than ever before to being done with the Cowboys. At the very least, a trial separation seems likely.

Reading what many of you have posted in recent weeks, it seems several of you are having the same reaction about Jerry's club.

If I were to quit the Cowboys, I'm not sure that I'd be ready to stop being a football fan. I've been a Cowboys fan for most of my life. The problem is that I don't actually like the team anymore (nor do I particularly like the revised NFL game all that much).

I'm thinking about picking another team. I've liked Cam Newton for a few years, so if I were to pick a new team, it'd be the Carolina Panthers.

If you were to adopt a different NFL team, which one would it be?

I have become fans of certain players more than certain teams. I like watching Luck and some of the other young players just to see how they mature into great players. I hate the 49ers, but I like the players they have in the trenches. I also like to watch the physical style if football that they play. I usually have a few pet cats in the draft and I like to follow their careers as well.

I can't stand Newton or his family. The computer theft and auctioning off his college services was enough for me. I think he is an arrogant punk with his swag. Living in Mississippi, I had to read about how his father told Cam that he had to go to Auburn because they were offering the right amount of money. He had promised the Mississippi State coaches that he was coming there until Auburn came up with the money. He is one if only a few players that would make me totally quit the Cowboys if he played for them. Vick is another.
