Boy, not saying you're wrong, but I'd be hesitant to toss out either Brewster or Young at this point. Lineman just seem to take a while to develop. I'll say that I think Brewster and Young showed more than what Marten or Peterman did during their first training camps, which may not say a lot but it shows that they aren't complete wastes. I'm a little surprised on how good Young looked... I didn't expect much, but I think he has a much higher threshold than Brewster.

Well, I wouldn't toss one of them out at this point either, not until we get some other proven offensive linemen.

I think Young is going to be okay, maybe he and Brewster can help at the back up positions.

I don't think either one will start for us in the future.

Bums. The both of them. If they ever start it'll be a trainwreck.

Hop aboard and be right.

I must of missed all this encouraging play from Brewster and Young in the preseason.

People are slapping lipstick on a pig here.

How does a guy start 4 years at Notre Dame and fail to ever be a quality college T and then develop into a good starter in the NFL?

How does this happen? How often does this happen?

Like never?

Young's a backup in this league. Never anything more than that. He's slow footed and out manned against the quality pro pass rushers. He's also weak as a run blocker.

Limited athletic ability. Low ceiling. Career backup.

I know their bums, but I have little hope for them being at least back ups for us. Not starters.

I can see what this line is going to be like in about three years, it's scary, unless we start drafting our replacements in the next draft.

Now, the guys I like are Costa, which I knew little about, and Free. There's not not much more after that.

I can see Costa being our future center, and Free our left tackle. That leaves the rest of the positions open for drafting in the future. I was hoping it was Young at right tackle, but doesn't look that way.

I'm just trying to be optimistic here, and see if any of these guys can help us. Doesn't look so good right now though.

Man, I'd love it if a few of these guys could develop into quality starters, but I just don't see it. Even from Free.

If nothing changes and our season's gone to shat because of the line and the oil salesman has to watch some other NFC team play in his Super Bowl, expect a plethora of offensive linemen brought in in the offseason.

Jacob Taylor. Clay Shiver, Tyson Walter, Torrin Tucker. Dallas has been horrilbe when finding talent on the O-line. Sure, they do take time. And give the two time, but, not too much. They just need to be more involved in linemen when the draft comes again.

But those guys were draft under different circumstance in regards to scouting and how much input scouts had come the actual draft itself.

I wouldn't bastardize the last couple of drafts due to what happened 5, 8 or even 10 years ago.

Mikey, there's a common theme there. We can't evaluate offensive line talent.

Shit happens, don't worry about it.

Look, we lost again and we have the Texans next.
