Option A.
Next year, I hope it's Free, Gurode, Rookie, Brewster, Young.
You are serious about Brewster and Young?
And why get rid of Leonard Davis next year?
Leonard Davis is making too much money and frankly isn't that good.
And yes, I'm serious about Young. He already has the mental part of the game down since Notre Dame. The question about him was his athleticism, and he answered that pretty well in camps.
Now thinking about it. I don't think Brewster would be a good fit at OG.
Wait. So get rid of Leonard Davis so we can pave the way for Robert Brewster and Sam Young?
Jesus F'n Christ.
I think Brewster is no better than a back up G for us, and Young could be a back up RT.
But I thought Barron would do a good job for us, so what's that tell ya?
I would trade all three of those players in a package for a diet coke.
I'd go with option 2 IF Colombo is not capable of playing to his 2008 level.
Free Kosier Gurode Davis Colombo
Or
Free Kosier Gurode Holland Davis
If Colombo is healthy, then I prefer him at RT. If not, then I'd be open to moving Davis.
My concern is how effective Davis would be at RT today. I'm not sure he's quick enough for the position, and I think he'd have a hell of a time with speed rushers, specifically. But, he'd likely do better than a 75% Colombo, and it'd be hard for him to do worse than Barron.
Also, I'd hate to do that much moving and shaking along our offensive line. I don't think Young and Brewster are lost causes like some suggest, so I wouldn't object to trying them at the position first.
I like Option 2,but as you say,Davis probably stays at guard.
Wasn't that part of Davis' troubles w/the Cards? They kept moving him outside and even left?
So anyway,that leaves me w/option 1.
Young does nothing for me. I don't see any promise in him.
I go with #1 option and let the shit fall where it may. Brewster never sees the field, and Dallas is drafting linemen next draft.
