I say get a corner with our 2nd rounder and play him at nickel. He should be ready to go by his second year.

I agree. We already know Scandrick can't cut it. It's time to start getting these guys playing time.

Bring Ball back to DB, Put Church at S and if they go with 5 db's, (which I have yet to see), bring back up McCann or Gordan.

No, they aren't easy to find. But, I am not for keeping a player who is only going to get older and slower, taking the place of possibly a younger better DB if he gets the time to play. This team isn't going anywhere this season or next. Changes have to be made. The window, if there ever was one is closing.

There isn't a player on the roster that could beat out Newman now.

A rookie next year isn't going to be able to either.

And any free agent capable of beating out Newman would cost too much.

Is he older? Yes. But he's not a liability. In fact . . . he and Ware have been our best defenders this year. No need to get rid of him now.

Agree to disagree I guess. But, I still think aside from Jenkins "funk" right now. Jenkins is the better DB.
