Goes against history. No DLineman taken north of the third since 2005. Only 1 Olineman taken that high in forever.

For whatever reason, this team does not value the trenches.

Is it front office philisophy, or just a coincidence?
Or you could say that since we haven't done that in a few years, now it's time to.

I think the "Jerry hates the lines" thing is kind of overplayed, really. He did spend a lot of money on Leonard Davis and Flozell, and Gurode was really good for years. And we have had Ratliff and two top OLBs, which in the 34 sort of count as linemen.

There are teams that go heavy up front but find they have no playmakers and then have to draft WRs, corners, RBs.
