He really does. He sounds very sharp. I may be going overboard, but I had visions of Tom Landry when I was watching him.

I actually had visions of Troy Aikman. He kind of sounds like him.

And I can't blame Jerry and anyone else for really liking the guy. He has some type of aura about him.

He played with Aikman for years so I'm sure Aikman's leadership rubbed off on him.

I am so excited today. I've wanted Garrett to be the head coach of this team since I learned that he had recieved an Ivy league scholarship. See, my uncles' sister in laws' husband was a janitor at his highschool.

True story.

I think they have no mental toughness. How else do you explain folding up the tent the last two games?

They have some good players. All teams have some good players. But they also have more than their fair share of bad players and overrated players.

Sorry. This doesn't get fixed in season. If Garrett's your guy, then you have to give him an offseason, more like two, to really put his thumbprint on this team. He's set up to fail the rest of this year.

Today's move should be followed by a few outright releases of some established veterans. And a few demotions to 2nd string.

I'd announce this minute that Jason Witten is no longer the starting TE and that Marion Barber and Leonard Davis are no longer with the team.

Witten doesnt need to be benched, but someone needs to get on him a little. He's still a great weapon at TE.

Barber & Davis I agree 100% on, dont just bench them. Release them. I'd also consider releasing guys like Brooking and probably even Olshansky. Ball should be moved back to a nickel/dime CB role and off the field in the base defense. Colombo needs to be benched too.

He actually sounds like a head coach. Wade never did.

Agree 100%

You see Wade at a PC (or on the sideline) and he's just kinda frumpy and clueless.

Garrett has that look of a leader. That aura.

I'll tell you what else . . . I've read multiple places that the many players "don't like" Garrett. That's good news as far as I'm concerned.

Whoever doesn't like him can hit the road because from what I've seen he's no-nonsense and is all about winning.

That's fine. But that isn't exactly giving Garrett a fair shot.

It is giving him a fair shot. Every situation is not oing to be perfect. This move is about changing the culture and mindset of players. It's not so much about win ning right now, but being competitive and evaluating those players that are going to show up.

Count me in this camp.

The players can like whoever they want when they're cooking steaks or golfing.

Who gives a rat's hairy ass if they like Jason Garrett?I'm sure Garrett had plenty of friends when he woke up this morning.

The O-line is still going to suck balls,Kitna is still the starting QB,and Garrett inherits a defense that been mostly MIA.

It's not the start up Garrett might have wished for,but it's what he's got.I'm on his side, whatever that's worth.

Garrett will be here at least 8 games, and it's looking more likely he'll probably be here next year due to the CBA situation.
