Don't like the lack of experience.

Don't like the bloodlines.

Doesnt Houck himself make up for Phillips potential lack of "experience"? Its not like Phillips will be solely teaching guys the fundamentals of OL play.

As for the bloodline thing, its a non issue. Wade was a goober of a HC, but he's always been highly regarded as an assist coach. Garrett has said how much he likes Wes Phillips. If he thought the guy couldnt coach he definitely would have run him due to the family ties.

Don't waste your time. dbair will support every decision the Cowboys make until the end of time.

If Wade got Wes out there when he went to Houston he'd be saying good riddance to him. It's just the way he homer rolls.

I'm not going to count Houcks experience, because he's the cancer I'm wanting to cut out of the coaching staff.

I viewed the idea of landing an "assistant" Offensive Line coach as just our polite way of nudging Houck out of the way. We don't want to upset or insult the relic.

But his assistant is a noob who has no background in coaching the Oline. I'm not sure I want him developing his habits, philosophies, and methods from an old man who's coaching techniques clearly aren't effective anymore.

What stupid shat is that? Telling the truth about your homerism?

I'm a truth teller. Don't care if it offends anyone. You like everything the Cowboys do. Every year. If Wes Phillips was shown the door in January you'd have loved it. He'd be addition by subtraction.

That isnt true, but if you want to continue being the board jerk off and thinking that, ok.

I hope not as well, though as some noted Davis' play did somewhat improve after Wade's canning. I have a feeling his cap situation (if the CBA gets done and the cap is a factor) might play into it more than anything else. And its probably alot easier to cover up for a mediocre guard than it is a bad RT or LT

Improvement? Are you talking about the kind of improvement where a kid goes from getting an F in class to a D-? I guess that's improvement technically, but it's still nto good.

You continue to deny it, yet everyone can read. You support everything.

All moves make sense when the Cowboys do it. A bum like Wade Phillips as a head coach. His quality control coaching son as an assistant OL coach on a team with a glaring weakness at the position.

They're all sound logical moves. Until they fail. Then the next move makes sense and will fix everything. We let that guy go? Officially? LOL, Good riddance. You sure we kept this other guy? Well here's why that was the right decision. Every move. In every year.

It's why one of those Zone boys asked how we can claim to be the anti-homer board with you on the staff.

It's not an attack. It's just the truth. You're Mickey Spagnola/Nick Eatman. If someone wants an honest evaluation of the current state of the Cowboys, they can't read you.

What exactly does a quality control coach do anyhow?

If it has anything to do with the "quality" of shit we saw these players put on the table this past season, this **** should of been out the door with his pappy.

If I understand correctly, they pay close attention to trends that we, and opponents have.

For example, if we're developing a trend of always running a specific play on a given down and distance, the QC guy lets our staff know that so that we can make adjustments and avoid being predictable.

Pretty much.

Depending on the staff, they also might have to upload video and data or be a staff assistant during actual practice.

Or all of the above.

I honestly dont see the need to argue this anymore with someone who acts like a total dipshit.

You have little clue about how I've felt over the years about alot of things.

Just because I dont see a reason to bitch and moan about who the asst OL coach is doesnt mean I fall all over the teams moves no matter what they are.

That's exactly what they do, or at least on this team. They do alot of film study and watching. It isn't the cake job some people would think.
