I have much confidence that Romo can handle the increased responsibility.

I do wonder if Dez can keep up with it, though.

Romo will just continue to tell Dez his patterns by hand gestures and pointing, he'll be fine.

I can't understand where or why Jason has such a huge ego?

At least I'm speculating he has a huge ego based on his not wanting to relinquish playcalling duties and not wanting his quarterback involved in gameplanning.

Theres another reason why I think he has a huge ego but it escapes me right now.

My theory is that after all those years of playing second-fiddle to Aikman, he's now trying to QB this team from the HC position.

I'm all for it, and I don't blame Romo. This is all about ROmo protecting hinmself. He has aidiot of an owner that gives him a shitty OL, and then he has an idiot HC, that doesn't know how to call plays that would protect Romo, from his shitty OL.

I don't think the no huddle "success" is real. They usually went to this when the game plan failed and they were down. Teams were willing to give up yards for clock. I'm not sure it would translate well to an entire game.

I also think the team is playing into Romo's weaknesses this offseason. I think he struggles when he feels like he has to do everything. I think we could see a much more efficient Romo if the offense took some pressure off of him. Establish the run game, control the clock, more higher percentage pass plays, etc.

I've had the same thought but been too lazy to review all the games to see what the opposing teams defense was and how many of our points came after they were down to the other team by a significant number.

Like you, I suspect the offense is getting over rated by the points scored in garbage time or when the other team has called off the dogs because they have big lead

Good post.

My thing is this... This is it? This is all the strategy you put together this offseason for offense. A new center and a no huddle offense. What??

Why can't i put into words how absolutely unbelievable all of this is?

Yeah Jason sucks. The idea that "he didn't want Romo working more" is retarded.

Hmmmm...

Part of me doesn't pay much attention to Werder anymore. But this all sounds legitimate.

Question though... why on earth would Garrett be against any of that in the first place?

If you haven't realized it yet, Jerry is a first class retarded folk.

This, I think most of his "doh!" plays are when he's pushing.

Was just on... Get this... On the Romo and "Manning time" Jerry comments... Romo is now going to be in on Tuesdays, the normal players' day off, to work on the game plan with the coaches.

Why hasn't this happened before? Because Romo didn't want to? No. Romo has wanted to do this for a long time, but Garrett hasn't wanted him to.

Werder hears that Romo also wants to, and has wanted to, run more no-huddle, but Garrett hasn't wanted to. Werder says people out there tell him that's been a source of friction between the two. But Werder expects to see more of it this year.

Apparently Romo asked for this during contract negotiations and Jerry is giving it to him.

Eh. Werder
