In a close hard fought battle, the Bye Week outlasted Jerry's Jones' Cowboys 21-17.
With the game in hand at 17-14 and less than a minute remaining, Dak Prescott, the league's highest paid player changed a 3rd and 1 run play call that likely would have ran out the clock to a surprise pass play, and the Bye Week subsequently intercepted a pass intended for CeeDee Lamb and returned it 60 yds for a TD. Lamb seemed surprised the pass was intended for him as he was surrounded by 3 Bye Week defenders.
On the final drive of the game, Prescott threw his fourth interception to Bye Week and from there, Bye Week took a knee to seal the victory. After the game Prescott said "this will be a learning experience for us, we just have to do better" Owner and General Manager Jerry Jones blamed the loss on the league's schedule makers "I don't know how they could expect us to be ready for Bye Week after that close hard fought loss to Detroit a week ago, it's just completely unfair"
